Racism. It's everywhere. Especially in bathrooms.

Just thought I'd add that when I say that, I mean it. If you're black and I don't like you, I'll call you a dick. Now, in the fucked up society we live in, I'd probably be arrested for racism. So I usually just don't bother.

But it's not something I appreciate, one of my friends is black and we usually joke around about that, he does himself (example: if someone said that he took something, he might reply with "oh, so because I'm black I'm the one that stole it?" jokingly). People that ACTUALLY discriminate against people because of their colour make me sick- and that goes both ways, I've had black people insult me because of my colour too.

Sounds kinda like what I'd do. Except I probably woudn't get arrested.

"Racism" is spread by those whom least expect it, either on person or by accident. Your elders, as well as mine are in most cases the ones who spread it the most. Children learn by example and therefore if not taught early enough will follow the example given.

Same thing goes with "fads", like talking in short hand. Although this isn't spread by adults, hopefully. Lol.

But what I don't understand, or like is the fact that most parents don't even try to correct their children even when they know what their doing is wrong.

Agreed. Most azn parents don't like black people for some reason.

Its scary how kids can be racist. My little sister will make some racist comment making fun of people from India even though she doesn't know any better. So I tell her to shut the hell up. But really, don't expose kids to racism. They pick it up and immediately start to repeat it, even if its not intentional.

Fark it. I just wrote a couple paragraphs explaining everything and how racism actually makes sense at my school, but it seemed impossible to explain it to someone who hasn't been here and show that I don't support the ignorant form of racism that many people are talking about here. So yeah. I'm just going to say, "Racism bad." so I don't sound like a supporter of it.

I go to a school that is majority white. A lot of the white people there always seem to make black jokes, express outright prejudice and other things of the like and think it is funny. Anytime someone calls them out on their racism, they always say that they are overreacting and that they are not a racist because "I have a black friend! so I CAN'T be a racist. I'm on a rambling rampage right now though...

Also, I don't think that Asians are the smartest. I have a lot of Asians at my school also and I'm much smarter than any of them. Not to toot my own horn but I've always the smartest in my classes since elementary school...

What's Racism? Isn't it a thing you use to make a joke?

No' date=' that would be stereotypes.

[/quote']

Then I don't understand what Racism actually is.

It is just a term the majority of people use to describe an action. That action being to distastefully disgrace, verbally thrash or physically harm someone based on the color of their skin and or ethnicity.

In other words, using a stereotype means your joking and your an idiot, and being racist means your intentionally wanting to cause some kind of "pain" or reaction.

A stereotype could be:

"You're black, therefore you are stupid"

Racism could be:

"You're black, therefore I'm going to shoot you."

Props to you for knowing the difference.

Another example would be a store clerk saying

"That guy's black, therefore we won't sell him anything."

Or

"You're black, therefore I will not hire you."

Point is, Racism sucks

Stereotypes suck, but not quite as bad.
