This is a basic sig tut for GIMP. Requires basic understanding of GIMP.

[spoiler=#1]Open GIMP and go to File>New and make a normal sig size. I make it 440x200

[spoiler=#2]Use the blend tool and make the gradient FG to BG (RGB). Draw a line diagonally across your New file.

[spoiler=#3]Get some c4d of deviantART, Google images or photobucket. Place in a nice place over your sig and anchor it.

[spoiler=#4]Find a render on the internet (I personally use planetrenders v4 or jk233_ultimatemaster's archive) and place it over your new file.Anchor it.

[spoiler=#5(Optional)]Find some brushes on deviantART and download. Use some on your sig if you want

[spoiler=#6(optional)]Add some text!!!!

As someone who downloaded GIMP this morning and has never touched other image editing software bar MS paint' date=' what's a "c4d"?

It's an abstract render usually, it can also be non-abstract though. Often used to give effects to tags. And also, this tut fails. The outcome does anyways.
