Paint problem

when I open paint to do some sprite work the bg of the sprite is black. Like I copy from the site and the site has a white bg but paint makes it black. Help?[/code]

Use fill tool with white and fill all the black bits

Yeah I know that but I want a quicker way if there is one. It happenes in gimp too

If you Save the image and then open it in paint it shouldn't have the black background, I don't think, at least when I do this in photoshop it doesn't.

Just take a screen shot and paste it into paint. Then cut out the sprite and paste into a new window. Oh and by the way, using the paint bucket to turn black to white erases half the outline as well. So don't do that. Or you know, you could just save the sprite and open it in paint.

Just open Microsoft Word, paste it in there, and copy it from there.
