IC: Gary was thinking of punching Connor in the face, but then he thought not a good time to get into trouble again. "Seeing how you were not there it was a dark time. Hogwarts is a good place, the Headmaster is a fun person really he lets us use magic and have wizard duels. He has to be one of the best Headmasters Hogwarts has ever had." Gary then turned around, he was Chaser again this year, he and his brother were a good team last year, Hufflepuff was stomped on by Gryffindor but this year they thought it would be a different year, because of the loss of Joshua.

Mr Makoto, raised his head so that he could see out the window, the train was just pulling in, perfect he thought. A chance to get a closer inspection on my students. He spoke a spell aloud, and then he was transfigured into a cat, He slowly walked out of his classroom, down the hall to the train station, to see what all the children's behavior was like.

"Oh look, the train's slowing down. I'll be in a carriage with some of you," offered Alyssa cheerfully, oblivious to the exchange that went between Connor and Gary. "Any of you want to?" She asked. She gathered up Ginger into her arms and pocketed her wand into her robes. "I've heard that they take care of your trunks now so all you need is your wand and your bookbag."

"umm. Charms and Potions I think. Yeh that sounds right." He said to Alyssa, but was distracted by Gary. The look on the boys face made Connor think that he had hit a nerve. "I think I have overstayed my welcome. I'll go find another compartment." Standing up he grabbed his bag and swung it over his shoulder. "Nice meeting you all. I'm going to go somewhere a little quieter before we pull in." He smiled at them gently and quickley exited.

Ken starts down to the station following the cat who he knows is Mr. Makoto. "so checking on this years students, Makoto" he says as he get very close to the cat. Ken then stops as they reach the train station his cloak over him and his hood covering his face by the shadows it causes. Ken then sits Levitation himself in midair as he waits for the train to stop and the students to exit the train. "Makoto, i think it would be better if you met them in a more human form, after all you cant really talk to them like that or expect them to answer the question".

Julian arrived back in his office to find that the soup had been delivered and Dunham was trying to break out of his cage to get at his food. "You a terble onah!" the parrot mumbled between the bars in his beak. Julian smiled broadley at his pet.

"Aww can the parrot not get to his food?" The professor walked slowly towards the cage, "Maybe Phil should do something?".

Sittign down at his desk he found that the soup had gotten cold in the time it had taken him to think. Warming it up with a simple spell he gulped it down. Wiping his mouth with a napkin provided by the house elf, he heard a trains tell-tale noise coming closer. Julian turned to Dunham, "The express is almost here."

Jason hoped off the train and stretch finally good to be off he looked around trying to see if he could find any other slytherins he looks at blues and forwards to the same carriage as him he then loks again to see if theres anyone to pay particular attention to he spots a bunch of Ravenclaws and smiles "lucky them" Jason says sarcastically as he forwards on

"Yeah, I'm still in Gryfindor, and my classes are the same as last year mostly. After last year I'm so glad I dropped potions, after the way that professor acted last year, and all the damage he did. It's unbelivable, I can't belive the potions master turne out to be so dangerous - She quickly changed the subject back toward classes. I wonder if we have anything together Alyssa." She wasn't really concerned with this, she had a lot on her mind, and currently classes with Alyssa wern't a terribly hight priority.

Mr Makoto, turned his head towards Ken, and almost silently whisper, "I don't need to talk to them, I can see what kind of student they will be just by, how they act." He saw a Slytherin student, Blake Andrews, walking off the trained, and walked beside him. He transfigured back out of the cat form into a human, and greeted Mr. Andrews back. "How was your break?" said Mr Makoto, "I am sad to hear, You won't be attending my class this year."

Ken steps back a few steps the shadows hiding his figure as he looks at the students stepping of the train. "Makoto always does this, why doesnt he just walk down in human form". Ken walks out of the shadows nearby behind Makoto watching for students leaving the train. "hmm... i wonder who i have for potions" he thinks watching Makoto nearby the train.

Alyssa stepped off of the train and got into an empty carriage. She hoped to see Candice around. There! She waved frantically to Candice getting her to come on the carriage. "Candice!" she yelled. "Over here!" She hoped she would be able to sit near some friends for once.

Candice heard Alyssa and began to walk over to her, after the events of last year, almost every student could see the thestrals, the carriages seemed a lot less magical now, she sighed as she made her way over to Alyssa. "ya know, last year, I never got my Carriage ride with Josh, now I'll never see him again." She paused and took a long, heavy sigh, then smiled half-heartedly. "Let's get up to the castle ha?" With that she jumped into th carriage and slid over to make room for Alyssa. It was nice riding with a good friend like her.

Blake went into the carriage with blues but not striking conversation hoping he would first, he sat quitely and lookes out the windows "another year at Hogwarts" he thought to himself he looked at the surrounding carriages "can't wait" he said as he waited for the carriages to leave "I wonder what intresting people I'll meet"

Ken walks back into the shadows seemingly dissappearing as he makes his way up to the castle. Ken walks up the path not within sight of the students, through use of a dissillusionment charm, though yet moving faster than the carriages. Ken arrives at the school removing the disillusionment charm. Ken walks up near the school gate his cloak hiding his features as he stands waiting for the students and the carriages to arrive.

Mr Makoto, transfigured into a lion , and ran past the carriages, back up to the castle, to greet all of the Slytherin students. He stops at the gate , wondering where Ken had wondered off to, he waits for the carriages to arrive with the students.

Alyssa smiled at Candice. "So I really hope the year turns out better than last year. I don't think i could take another year like that!" she exclaimed. She took out her wand. "I heard your wand broke. What's your new wand made of?" she asked. She removed Ginger from his cage and let him roam the carriages.

"not bad but its a shame I wont be in your potions class this year I've always rathered you I see your down here as usual, how have you been yourself" he says as he looks back at Blues in the carriage

"The new one?" She produced her new wand, it was longer then the last. "This one is made of weaping willow wood with a phoenix tear core. It's meant to be really good for healing magic, but I don't know a lot of that sort of stuff." She didn't know much at all, but over the holidays she'd bought a book on healing spells, she figured if her wand was good for it, and it was so important, as it had been during the battle of last year, she would learn healing magic.

Ken looks up as a lion approaches simply rasing his wand and turning Makoto back to human form, then sheathing his wand. "Makoto do you need to transfigure for everything, i didnt even use a spell to increase my movement only to hide me while i went up past the carriages". Ken then sits levitating himself in mid-air again watching Makoto. "so why'd you choose a lion for you little run, i'd of thought you'd choose something faster".

Alyssa smiled at Candice. "Cool, it looks longer than the last one!" she said. "Mine's different as well, it has Hawthorn and dragon heartstrings and a phoenix feather." She twirled it around her fingers. "Avis!" she said. Tiny birds appeared throughout the carriage. Alyssa smiled at them, "I just do this to pass the time. They're fun to play around with." Ginger, seeing the birds, runs with them playfully.

"Nicely done!" Candice was always fond of summoning magic like that, it interested her. she smiled as the cat played with the birds she found it cure. "Where did you get him?" She motioned to Ginger. "He's so cute, and he takes magic really well, I had a cat in the first couple of years I was here, ofcourse, I bought him from a muggle pet store, and he didn't respond well to magic, it spooked him." She sighed a little, she missed her cat Sugar, But he had never been the same since going to Hogwarts, he avoided Candice after her first year, and finally, they were forced to get rid of him.

"There's a new shop in Hogsmeade that sells magic-oriented pets. On our next trip to Hogsmeade, we can go and we can see what they had." Alyssa takes a look at Ginger and deems it that he isn't going to kill a bird. "I didn't notice you had a cat. Sugar you called him? What did you do with him?"

"Well, Sugar was a lovely cat, but he really couldn't handle magic, ever since he saw me cast Lumos in first year she was so awkward around me. We finally just had to get rid of him, we gave him to my aunt, she's a muggle, she loves cats too, but I miss him dearly. Dad always said that I could get another pet though, provided it wouldn't react badly to magic. Maybe when we go to Hogsmead I'll find somthing I like." She said this with a smile, she really did love animals, and a magically-orentied pet would be wonderful.

Alyssa smiled in agreement. "Ginger could do with a pet. Hey, I heard the COMC teacher has a new shipment of skrewts. I wonder if Connor knows anything about it; his brother's the teacher for it!" She looked out of the window to see if she could catch sight of connor. They had no luck. "Well let's get this carriage moving and we'll be at the feast soon!" Alyssa sighed and leaned out the window and tapped the thestrals with her wand twice. The thestrals started to move. "Can you see thestrals?" she asked tentatively. She wasn't sure what Candice's response would be.
