"I think after last year we can almost all see the Thestrals -" She said looking sombre. "- but I could see them before that, my mother died a while ago, it was horrible. You can see them too? How long have you been able to?" She asked She the realised just how traumatic a life most of the Hogwarts students had lead. She hoped dearly that this year would be better then the last. A lot of people were very unsure of coming back this year and after the events of the last, Who could blame them?

"Yeah, you're probably right," agreed Alyssa. Her parents had almost forbid her from coming back to the school, before they realized that Beauxbatons and Durmstrang were even worse. "My parents almost forbade me from coming back, before I told her what happened to beauxbatons and Durmstrang." She paused. "You did hear about that, right?" She asked tentatively. her old friends who dropped out of hogwarts for the two other school and then died at the other schools.

"I heard a little bit, nothing really, I don't know how bad things are there, just that they had some major battles too. Then again, everywhere did, I have a wizard pen-pal in America who nearly died in a battle over there. How bad were things in Durmstrang and Beaubaxtons?" She was worried. What if all of this wasn't over, what if this year the Hogwarts students were all slaughtered, This was an awful way to be thinking, but Candice couldn't help herself. Last years battle, no war, had beein plaguing her terribly, she'd been having nightmares, flashbacks, and even paranoia about it.

Alyssa shuddered at the memory of her friends' last messages. "They were attacked by the same person. There was slaughter all over, it was a slaughterhouse!" her voice rose to hysteria. "What if this isn't over? What if it's going to happen again this year?" Alyssa definitely didn't want another year like the last one.

[Kaisu]

Kaisu was walking as well, and he overheard Alyssa. "If it's gonna happen again this year? Survive. Fight. Help. If it happened again, what else can we do?" Kaisu pointed out to her.

Candice, senseing her friend's upset began to think a change of subject was in order, she put her arm around Alyssa. "It's all going to be okay, I don't think it could possibly happen again" she was lying but she was hoping that she'd do a good job. "

"I saw a lot of first years who look very interesting this year, I wonder who we'll get, There was one girl. I swear she must have been a Veela long white hair, french accent everything." Candice remembered when she was rumoured to be a Veela, her naturally white hair did indicate that, and her Italian accent was sometimes confused with a french one. It made her laugh. She was way too boyish to be veela.

[Kaisu]

"Bit optimitic, don'tcha think?" Kaisu said, raising an eyebrow. He was walking alongside the two now. He was looking at his mobile phone, wondering if he could get a signal here. Of course, he couldn't. He shrugged and put it away.

Alyssa perked up at that. "We hardly ever get veelas, I've never seen one-- other than you of course," she winked at Candice. She knew that Candice was not a veela. "Have you ever been to a Bulgarian quidditch match? I've heard they still use veelas as their mascot."

Mr Makoto, sighed, "I guess I could have, Just didn't want to, really...", "So Ken, What will you be teaching this year?". The carriages slowly approached the gates, and the students started exiting. I wonder what students I will have this year in Slytherin, Mr Makoto thought to himself.

OOC: The train has officialy stopped!

IC: "Good memorys." Gary said as he walked off the train with Blues, now he could ride with his older brother. "Hey Blues let's go to a carridge." Gary walked off to the nearest carridge, he was hoping ths year wasn't as bad as last year because of the horrible things that had happened last year. "Okay now to Hogwarts!" Gary yelled running off to the carridge ready for the year of his life.

"Never." she said.I" haven't seen much Quiditch outside of Hogwarts at all, my father is a muggle, and my mother's long gone. I'd love to see a match, and the World Cup's comming up next year, maybe I could stay somewhere in the wizarding world and watch it. That'd be great!" She paused. "Speaking of Quidditch the second years this year can join the team, there's some promising chasers, good reflexes, fast flyers too."

Alyssa smiled. "I hope Gryffindor gets the cup this year!" she said. "With a good enough team and a good captain, we're sure to get it!" She smiled at rememberance of her first quidditch cup that the Gryffindors had won. "I hope we get a good replacement for the chaser we lost!" she wasn't cheerful saying that, she was subtly reminding Candice of Joshua.

ooc: DN everyone else has kept going and all the students are already going towards the school i think...

 

IC: Ken looks up at Makoto as he then stands leaning against the wall. "hmm.. well they told me someone already took defense against the dark arts when i tried to apply, so i just took potions, what're you teaching this year?'. Ken looks past Makoto trying to spot if the carriages had come into view yet. "hmm.. how long do you think the carriages will take Makoto?".

Gary was thinking about Quidditch he was one of the youngest Chasers they've had and he was excellent. Gary was thinking about the Quidditch team about last year when they got to the finals only to be stomped to death by Griffyndor. Hufflepuff had the edge in the beginning but then Gryffindor pulled up the heat then got 300 points above, then Gryffindor got the Snitch to beat Hufflepuff to lose by 450 points. Gary was thinking about there chances of winning this year.

OOC: Yeah I said that we were going to the school now.

Alyssa continued to think about quidditch...and Connor, for some strange reason. "Hey," she whispered to Candice so no other person could here. "Now that Joshua's er...gone...do you like Connor by any chance?" she asked tentatively, still whispering. "I"m just curious." She looked out of the window. they were nearing the castle and would be off the carriage in several minutes.

"I don't really know Conner, actually. He seems likea nice guy, but what I had with Josh was special, he and I were best friends for a couple of years, Our relationship was built on a tonne of quiditch games where I saved him from taking a bludger to that gorgeous face." She joked. She wasn't sure she was ready for a relationship, after all, She really loved Joshua and now he was gone.

OOC: Joshua isn't dead, he is injured/maned he can come back but he is at a magical hospital/St. Mungos

IC: "Oh look it's them" Gary said looking at Alyssa and Candice, Candice was the one who had played beater. Almost got hit in the face if it weren't for the Hufflepuff Beater, James Gizarius, but he left a year ago, he was a seventh year. "Now what is happening in the Wizarding World again." Gary said looking at a couple wizarding newspapers/magazines, he picked the Daily Prophet, there was nothing else.

IC: Candice heard Gary and began to move over to speak with him.

"Yeah. It's us, somthin' up?" Candice normally wouldn't have been so paranoid having overheard that, but really, she was stressed and frustraited, looking for a fight. This was more like it! Last year Candice hadn't really been herself, but now things were different, she wasn't a girly girl, she was gonna be theone to stand up for her self. She glared at Gary awaiting his response, Partially she knew he didn't mean anything by it, but she was touchy at the moment.

IC: "Buzz off Candice." Gary said. "I'm not looking for a fight. Just something to tell you I was the one who used Petrificus Totalus on Joshua." Gary said in the carridge with Blues. "Besides it's two against one so don't bother." Gary then gave a dark look, he gripped his wand in his pocket. "I don't think Blues would even like the fact that you're even over here." Gary smiled nudging Blues in the ribs.

Julian was hopping down the stairs. The headmaster had told him what to do on the first day, but he had forgotten what he was supposed to do. "Now where do i go now?" He noticed that the main doors were open and went to have a breath of fresh air. The grounds we're beautiful in the waning light and he could see the paddocks that he had asked for. This was going to be fun year.

 

Connor had heard about the schools carriages from his brother. They were pulled by winged horses called Thestrals, but he couldn't see them. "I guess that means I'm lucky." Connor wondered to himself. The carriage was comfy and he didn't expect it to bounce too much. Pulling a list out of his bag he started to count down on the things that he had brought.

Blake had gone to see Mr Makato he knocked on the dor and waited fo a reply as he did he stepped back a bit and looked around him "back at hogwarts at last" Blake thought himself he stepped back up and knocked once more "professor I need to talk to you" he said again waitng for a reply he wanted know about the slytherins he has always been close to Mr Makato in a weird way he was the only person he trusted at hogwarts.

Alec had a relatively hard time figuring out what he was supposed to do. He went to a different school last year, so he was a bit confused. He decided to play it safe and follow Connor. Alec kept following him, and pondered about his new school. What would it be like? He asked himself. What would the teachers be like? Despite his cluelessness, he could tell he was in for one heck of a year.

Lyla hopped off the train. She had been sitting in the train compartment in silence. She looked at the thestrals pulling the carriages. They were really beautiful. Well, sort of, for man-eating creatures. Lyla had liked Hogwarts, being a muggle-born was hard, but at least kids weren't afraid of her like they were at her old muggle school. She could fit in- well, sort of. It was better at Hogwarts, she could be normal there.

IC: Candice wasn't an idiot, she knew she couldn't take Gary while Blues was standing right next to him. She was already plotting about what she'd do when she got the chance. petrify him, curse him terribly, slip him some veritasyrum and allow him to embarace himself when asked touchy questions. Candice mind was racing with revenge plans, no one would get away with petrifying her partner! No one! Plus, it was enough that Gary was completely vile. Candice simply hated the guy, and her reasons were obvious.
