"Whatcha doing now thinking?" Gary asked with a laugh. "No need for a fight, I can just chuck a Quaffle at your face." Gary said with a laugh. "Now go on with your little group of friends and I will see you on the pitch." Gary then turned to see a swarm of Hufflepuffs. "Now it would be a seven versus one fight if you are tough enough to try and fight." Gary said with another smile he then noticed the carridge started moving. "Goodbye!" Gary yelled as he and Blues were off.

Lyla skipped past Candice, and watched as Gary and Blues skipped off. "Are you tinking about plans for revenge? Can I help?" Lyla had done pranks before, they were fun. And she had gotten her fair share of revenge. Lyla smiled at the memory of somebody being dumped with a bucket of tar and goose feathers. "So? Can I? It seems like you won't lay off that kid for a while." Lyla said, happy.

Candice was surprised by Lyla's enthusiasm to help, Candice had never met the girl.

"Sure...I guess it couldn't hurt to have some help." This was exactly why she loved Hogwarts, any random thing under the sun could happen at any moment.

"I'm Candice by the way, and who might you be?" she said with a smile on her face. Her mind continued to race with revenge plans. Maybe she'd find out how to create a rouge bludger and pay someone to let it loose in the Slyverin boys dorms. That'd show him.

Blake gave up and decided to come back later he started to go to the Slytherin common room as he saw what Gary and Blues were doing

"he he he I missed all the fun" he walked over to Gary

"The names lake and who might you be, you seem to be an alright guy" Blake smiles as he talks and raises an eyebrow

"what do ya say man we could be hmmm acquaintances I'm not familiar with the word friends"

"Seeing as how you're in Slytherin and me and Blues are in Hufflepuff, I guess it wouldn't hurt just to have some fun around while the Sorting is happening." Gary sighed. "Blues knows his way around so lets go." Gary held out his hand for a handshake he then thought he may be a good way to show that Candice girl something. Maybe later on in the year though, right now is fine.

"Hi, who are you?" said Alyssa to Lyla. "Haven't met you, I'm Alyssa." Alyssa turned to see Blues and Gary walking away. Alyssa hated them now. "I have to hate those boys no matter what they did last year." Alyssa sighed. "What should we do to them? I have a prank set with me." She pulled them out and looked through them. Filibuster fireworks, Dungbombs, Love potions (not for her use), canary creams, sparklers, Whizz bombs, and a stack of skiving snackboxes.

"Maybe - Candice said smiling brightly. "Maybe we make them fall in love with one of the professors, I'm sure they'd get punished, not to mension they'd look like complete idiots. Do you think we could pull it off?" Candice motioned to the others to walk with her as she made her way into the castle. She always loved this first night, catching up with everyone, watching the first year students get sorted, getting in the first jokes about the new staff that arived almost every year. This night was always great.

Gary was as tricky as he was as funny as he thought, extremely. He had left a pair of magical recorders in a tree near them. It was sent to fly back to the Hufflepuff Common Room in an hour, until then Gary was relaxing there, waiting for the hour to end. "Uhhhhhhh." Gary said looking out a window. "Now what to do? Hey Blues want to play a game of Wizards Chess?" Gary asked.

"Awesome idea, Candice!" said Alyssa. "It'd be really funny!" She followed Candice. "Aww...I can't wait to see how many first years'll come to school. I bet their parents were freaked out about...it..." She returned to thinking more grim thoughts. "Anyways, I still can't wait to see if there're any good quidditch builds that come to Gryffindor."

Alec had a lot of questions for Connor. This was his first year at Hogwarts, so he was very curious. He asked what the teachers were like, how the Quiddich games worked, and all that. He was just so curious he was slightly annoying.

Candice smiled to Alyssa. "We usually do get good Quiditch players, I think the sorting hat likes our team!" The weather was beautiful outside, the sky was stary, everything seemed so pristine, ofcourse, the weather was like this on the night of last year's battle. so as beautiful as it all was, Candice was still very weary. She looked over across the lake to see the first of the first years getting off thier boats some of them pausing to admire Albus Dumbldore's well-kept headstone. most just following as they were told.

Alyssa smiled at Candice and agreed. "Let's get in to the great hall. I'm personally starving!" she said excitedly as she saw Albus Dumbledore's grave. She wondered how it was kept in such good, pristine condition. She gathered up Ginger in her arms and scratched him behind the ears; Ginger purred but jumped down onto the ground, leading the way to the castle.

Candice walked slowly to the great hall, she was excited, but she found the grounds too beautiful to rush through, she'd been here for years now, but it never got less breathtaking, One day, Candice wanted to work here. If for no other reason then to experience this magic every day. There was somthing about Hogwarts that was just breathtaking, even during the battle last year she noticed it. Finally she entered the castle's entrance hall, by this time they were behind the first years who were lined up at the door having the sorting process explained to them, Candice squeezed her way past, and entered the hall. She scanned the Gryffindor table with a smile on her face. Finally she found a couple of open places right at the head of the table, the nearest few seats to the Headmaster.

"Yes, a love potion would be good- I can brew one up in potions, or I can get one from Weasleys Whizzing Wheezbies. Or- We could make them fall in love with Moaning Myrtle." Lylas said, a wicked grin spreading across her face. She returned to norma aoon though. "Wha class do you guys have? I have... DADA." Lyla said, looking at Alyssa and Candice. "Oh by the way, I'm Lyla." SHe added.

Julian wasn't exactly sure what he should do, he had never been good at keeping time. And because of this he decided to follow the crowd. Not something that he would normally have done, but Julian wasn'tabout to make a mistake on his first day. As he jogged back down the stairs he noticed that the students had already arrived and were entering the great hall. "Of course the Welcoming Feast!" He exclaimed to himself, he looked around at the faces of the students who were looking at him. "Hello everybody. I hope you all have a good time." And with that he set off at a spritley pace into the hall.

 

Connor didn't mind the company of other people he just didn't like it when they kept talking, unless he knew them that is. "Look umm, Alec wasn't it? Well i'm not too sure what the schools like. I was just transferred in. I had a tour of the school and the sorting hat was used on me before hand so I wouldn't look silly to the other kids." He look at the boy carefully. He seemed like a nice guy, "I think you should make some friends apart from me. Go talk to other people most of them seem nice." He moved off for the Grand Hall, there were plenty of students in there and he could see the head table with teachers. His brother was sat near the middle. His usual happy face was changed for one of obvious nerves. Must be all of these kids, Connor thought to himself and smiled giving Julian a wave. His brother found his smile once again as he presnted a wave back.

"Oh why not bro? But you already know that I'll be the champion at this game." He said as he slowly began setting up the wiggling and squirming pieces onto the large board in the Hufflepuff Common Room. "Anyways, those guys seemed really tempermental, I wonder whats their problem" Blues felt at ease with his brother, no gawking at his transfigured eye and odd looks from strangers, no disrespect on whatever happened between them nothing. He then pushed his hand into his bag and withdrew a small black puppy with beady brown eyes. "I didn't get to show them Snuffles anyways" he said as he pet the animal as it went around the common room chasing its tail away.

"Okay I think I'll start I move the Pawn in front of the Knight two spaces up." The selected Pawn charged up two spaces the looked back at Gary. "You idiot you should have moved the one in front of the Queen you are obviously an idiot!" The Pawn shouted then turned around. "Hey how was I supposed to know, why didn't you tell me to move him in the first place?" Gary asked.

Alec was now quite embarresed now that he knew he was asking questions about the school to someone who transfered in. He didn't know whether to go back to being a loner or to change his attitude a second time. Ah well, he thought, I'll find out soon enough. He went back to studying his Herbology textbooks.

 

This will be a long year.
