We hope that you had a pleasant vacation and that the following year will be rewarding and full of adventures! As always, the corridor on the third floor as well as the Forbidden Forest is strictly off limits for all students that do not want to meet a very tragic death. As a student or teacher of this school you may not cause the whole RP to circulate around yourself! So don’t you make a prophecy about your character or something else that makes him or her exceptional in some way. Here at Hogwarts we have a strict no Spamming/Flaming rule and this will result in a warning the first time and if continued, expulsion. Using Imperio or any other form of God Modding is strictly prohibited and can result in immediate expulsion! All other YCM rules apply throughout the whole school and we hope that you will have a pleasurable stay!

The RP is set several years after the adventures of Harry and the others, them being retired or dead by now. The death eaters have made attempts to overthrow the ministry several times since the death of Voldemort, but have always been fought back. Now mysterious events start to take place in Hogwarts starting with a very mysterious note just containing the words: “he will return”, that was found in a Potions text book belonging to “Henrietta Higgins”, a fourth year student from Hufflepuff, that disappeared shortly after the welcome ceremony. What happened to Henrietta and who will return!? The students are up for an eventful year this time around!

Name: Acacia Peppergum

Year: 6

Age: 16

House: Gryffindor

Appearance: She stands at about 5'4" (which isnt very tall), and has silvery-white hair tied in a high ponytail. Her eyes are jade green. She often wears her school uniform around school.

Wand: Her wand measures exactly 8 inches, and it is made from dogwood. It has a lot of bumps and dents, especially at the bottom of the wand. The core is dragon heartstring, which comes from an Antipodean Opaleye

Personality: She is quite bubbly and friendly, and she does like to help people as best as she can. However, when she is in a rage, she is not one to cross. She can become extremely angry and, if armed with her Beater bat, she will smash people quite hard. She is also quite determined and tough, and does like to keep some parts of herself to herself.

Bio: She was born to Mavrick Peppergum, who was for five years a famed Beater of the Quidditch team Montrose Magpies, and her mother works in St Mungos in the Creature-Induced Injuries department. From the moment Acacia was born, her hair kept changing colour, which marked her out as a Metamorphmagus. Her unique ability hasn't fazed her, and while she learnt how to play Quidditch and subsequently take on the place of Beater, she has aspired to be an Aurora. Since she entered Hogwarts, she has been impressing people with her abilities, and she has been doing her father proud since she was given the Beater position in her Second Year.

Favorite Subject: Charms, Transfiguration

Least Favorite Subject: Muggle Studies

Subjects: Advanced Potions, Charms, Transfiguration, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Apparation, Herbology, Muggle Studies

Other: She is also one of the Beaters for the Gryffindor team, and she has had this positon for four years. During her time as a Beater, she has broken her left arm twice, sprained her wrist during practice, suffered from a broken collarbone, and has been knocked off her broom (and indeed fractured her skull) five times.

Name: Phoenix Wethstrm

Year: 6th

Age: 16

House: Ravenclaw

Appearance: He’s somewhere between 177-180 cm. tall and weighs about 60 kg. His ash blonde hair is often without any kind of products and his bangs covers his right eye. His eyes are a grayish blue and can give off quite the piercing gaze sometimes. This has caused rumors that he is related to elves, which is not true; his family consists only of “regular” Witches and Wizards with an occasional muggle here and there. His skin tone is something in between pale and tan, but it’s hard to say which tone it leans more to.

Wand: It’s very thin and sleek, very light wood/grayish colored with some minor carvings in white. (Pine wood, 7 ¾ inches, Griffin Feather)

Personality: Phoenix is quite often caught up with his own thoughts, which makes him seem a bit distant and absent- minded. He can often drift away in his own thoughts and might need a poke or someone snapping their fingers in front of his face to “wake up”. He is very kind and thoughtful, and tries to keep his calm even in the most stressful and aggravating situations. He seems to have a great deal of patience with everyone but his sister, who for some reason quickly makes him impatient or annoyed.

Bio: Phoenix was born to a merchant family that owns the small pub “The Conjured Crab” in Diagon Alley, thus having spent a lot of his childhood running around on the streets of Diagon Alley and helping out at the Pub. As he grew older he could help out more at the pub during his vacations from school and he often spends at least a month every summer at the Pub to make some extra cash. His family consists of himself, his mother Jane, his father Donovan and his two sisters, the elder one being in her fourth year at Hogwarts (anyone wanting to RP as her is welcomed to do so if you have you ask me about it first and I accept your character ^^). Elise, his youngest sister constantly nags him and his sister for stories about Hogwarts and insists that even though she’s just five years old she is perfectly eligible to start at Hogwarts, which everyone kindly tells her is not true. As other Ravenclaw students he has a good head on his shoulders and is quite talented in the art of Arithmancy which is one of the most complicated magical studies.

Favorite Subject: Charms, Transfiguration and Arithmancy

Least Favorite Subject: Ancient Runes

Subjects: Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, Transfiguration, Advanced Potions, Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, Apparition.

Other: Phoenix is the Team Captain for the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team since two years ago and is playing the position of Chaser. They have never won the school’s Quidditch cup during his lead but has never had a worse placing than third place.

Name: Alexander McFiggleberry (Malex his friends call him)

Year: 6th Year

Age: 16 Years old, will be 17 on August 29th

House: Ravenclaw

Appearance: Tall so around 6'3 (REALLY tall for his age) 186 lbs. His robes are a little short and a little torn. His build is quite large which leads to the tears in his robes, his shoes have holes in the feet.

Wand: Oak wood and the core has a troll hair in it.

Personality: Smart, funny, kind, aware of things, loyal and always quick to think.

Bio: As you are expecting, Alexander is huge and neither of his parents are giants, well his parents were quite tall also leading to the massivity. (don't know if that's even a word) He is a Canadian wizard that was transferred to Hogwarts. His parents were proud when they knew that he did well in the O.W.L.s and when he made the Quidditch team.

Favorite Subject: Transfiguration and Herbology

Least Favorite Subject: Astromony and Arithmancy

Subjects: Transfiguration, Herbology, Potions, Charms, Care of Magical Creatures, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Divination and Apparation

Name: Jackson "Jack" Gallows III

Year: 6

Age: 16

House: Hufflepuff

Appearance: Jack stands 6'7(see bio) and is muscular, he has soft facial features and white-blue eyes, he has short blonde hair that looks as if it had been shaved off and has just started to grow back. Jack has no facial hair and wears a silver sleeper in his left ear.

Wand: Jack's wand is 10 inches long and is made of redwood, it is very sturdy and it's core is made of giant hair, belonging to his great grandfather.

Personality: Jack is fun-loving, a true "Gentle-giant" He's normally very calm, but when he's on the quidditch field, Jack becomes a different person, agressive and focused as oppsed to his normally laid-back and scatterbrained attitude.

Bio: Jack is one 8th giant, on his mother's side, which is reflected in his height. On his father's side Jack is decended from wealthy muggle oil tycoons. He was raised in America by his parents until his father found out about his mother's being a witch, and about her giant blood. this revalation lead the family to divorce, and Jack moved with his mother to England. Now living in England Jack was viewed with mixed oppinions, his great hight and strength lead him to be praised as a sportsman, but also looked on as a freak of nature. Finally he recived his Hogwarts letter, and is now in attendence at the school.

Favorite Subject: Defence Against The Dark Arts

Least Favorite Subject: Muggle Studies, because Jack's father iswas a muggle he finds this subject too easy, and only really takes it so that he can slack off a little more.

Other: Jack plays as the beater on the Hufflepuff team, and has done since third year. He has a pet owl named Apolo. Jack can not see Thestrals.

Name: Blues Wiles Stockling

Age: 51

House: Hufflepuff

Appearance: Blues possess untidy brown hair with some traces of gray around it and blue eyes. His usual clothing is varied but among wizards he dons a grey pair of robes and a has a odd taste for transfiguring his left eye into a seperate color. His overall height is 6 feet 3 inches and he often carries around a sort of concealed metal blade withen his walking stick. His right leg is limp and he has a sort of unpleasant gash on his left arm.

Wand: His wand is a exceedingly odd one since it seems to be a complete metallic shell. His actual design is concealed within the metallic conductor for "safety reasons".

Subject: Defense agianst the Dart Arts

Bio: Blues grew up as a regular sort of folk, he went to Hogwarts and after that began working at Florish and Blotts. However his life toke a odd and drastic change when a nearby friend was taken by the Dart Arts. He found a odd fascination with the Dark Arts and began experimenting with several nearby deaths to see what had happened, which spell had been cast, who was the killer. Eventaully he was hired as a Auror in the Ministry at age 28 and began solving dangerous cases indeed, one that toke a large bit of flesh in his arm. Eventually he went into retirement at around 40 and began to shun himself from the Wizarding World. He was given a job offer at Hogwarts as a Teacher and he originally refused the job but then toke it at age 45.

Personality: Blues has a odd sense about teaching spells to children that can almost be rivalled by some of his predecessors. For one he somewhat enjoys to have children in his class do physical work in his classroom "builds character" he says. Next he is somewhat friendly to the rest of the Staff but does not show any favoritism what so ever with anyone. He often is very cautious indeed as that he often keeps away from certain events and mostly prepares his own liquid as he had worked in the Auror Office for a while now. As due to his supersticion he often just keeps himself shut away in Hogwarts every year but does have a taste for Butter Beer.

Other: He is the Head of House for Hufflepuff and has several pets, a Blast-Ended Screwt known as Rumford, a hedgehog known as Knit, and a Mastiff Dog known as Dewlap.

Name: Xarfax Hellenite

Age: 29

Subject: Transfiguration

Appearance: Being tall, young and quite good looking Xarfax is known to make the female (and some male students too) swoon over him, something he doesn’t mind at all. He likes to tease the ones being very obvious about their swooning by touching their shoulder or something as he helps them or complementing their hair or clothes. This behavior is frowned upon by the rest of the staff members, but since he hasn’t crossed the line with anyone they can’t do anything about it and he is quite sure that if he wasn’t such a good teacher he would probably have been replaced long ago. He often wears different button up shirts, which always has at least two or three buttons unbuttoned and plain jeans to go with them. He refuses to wear capes and other “wizard gear” as he conciders them some of the ugliest pieces of clothing ever made. He stands at about 190cm and is of normal build. His face is completely unscarred and never seems to even have a sign of tiredness, not even when he’s sick. His black hair is quite long; reaching just below his shoulders, and is put up in a pony-tail most of time. Some streaks of hair always seem to be left out though and hang down just beside his right eye, framing his face. His Dark blue eyes seems to be looking for something most of the time, never settling on one spot for a longer period of time something some teachers and students find unnerving.

Wand: His wand is very dark and has some knots and dents on it, making it look a little as a very small and thin tree branch. (Blackthorn, 6½ inches, Arachnid leg)

Personality: In the class room he is very strict about his students paying attention and doing what they are supposed to do and is known to hand out detentions, reduce house points and throw people out from his classes very easily. Though strict he does have a sense of humor and wants his students to have a bit of fun with the subject of transfiguration (because oh how fun you can have with that ;)) and often lets his students experiment freely or come with suggestions of what they should learn. He feels that the students should be able to afflict the course a lot themselves instead of just being told what to do all the time, because.. let’s face it, no one thinks that’s any fun. He is known to be a bit flirty with the students, which is both appreciated and feared. The other staff members doesn’t like that part very much at all but since the students seems to like him and him being a terrific teacher they can’t bear to lose him.

Bio: Xarfax was hired last year to teach at the school, but had been aiding the old Transfiguration teacher for two years as an assistant, filling in for him every now and then due to sicknesses and travels. Being originally from Hungary he studied at Durmstrang, graduating with good grades in all subjects but one, potions, he could never really figure the thing out. Being from Hungary he has a strong accent when he’s speaking, but he is still quite good at English and has no problem with making himself understood. After he had graduated he spent a couple of years travelling and studying the art of Transfiguration further, spending a lot of time in Greece, working in cafeterias and doing other small jobs to survive. He doesn’t like to talk about his childhood or his family and will either retreat or change the subject if ever brought up.

Other: He refuses to drink anything with alcohol in it and can barely even look at a pumpkin pie without getting a little bit nauseous.

(OOC: STARTED!)

 

Many had already heard rumors about a girl having gone missing last night after the welcome ceremony when they arrived to the great hall for breakfast that morning. Apparently the girl had been a fourth year from hufflepuff named Henrietta Higgins and there was also stories about one of her text books for Potions class had been found in the library with a note inside it, no one knew what the note said though and most thought of that part as just being an ill mannered rumor to scare the younger students. Phoenix had intended to question his sister, who was also a fourth year, if she knew this Henrietta girl. But he hadn't seen her all day and figured she was either sleeping or already done with breakfast and on her way to class. The first one seemed more fitting though and he decided he would question her later instead of risking a black eye for walking in to the girls dormitory. As he got in to the great hall it was quite empty, probably because it was too early for some and too late for others to be eating breakfast. He sighed a little and sat down by the Ravenclaw table, grabbing himself some toast. There were some students nearby, but he didn't feel like sitting with them at the moment, being a bit tired still and not really up for talking to anyone. He was going to have Defense Against the Dark Arts after breakfast and after that it was Arithmancy, a good day in other words. He liked Aritmancy and the "DADA" classes were usually interesting, not one of his favorites but at least it wasn't boring. Although, how could a class that allowed them to confront grindyloggs and other creatures ever be boring?

Acacia came down to breakfast, like the other students, and began to eat a piece of toast. She knew about Henrietta Higgins disappearing; after all, it was little wonder why the Hufflepuffs weren't terribly cheery that morning. Or the Head of Hufflepuff for that matter. Not that the news could bother Acacia; after all, whichever way you put it, it wasn't to do with her house. She didn't even know who Henrietta was up until that morning. She finished eating and, stretching lazily, pulled out her timetable and looked down the list of subjects.

 

"Defence Against the Dark Arts first," she said to herself, before being relieved to see a free period followed, before having to go to Muggle Studies.

Looking over at the hufflepuff table he found that the overall theme for that house today was gloomy with chance of rain. Not surprising though, if a student from his house had disappeared like that he would probably not be dancing or something.. not that he or someone else was known to dance on the table otherwise, it would be awesome if someone did though. He was pulled away from his own thoughts as someone knocked him on his head with a book and he looked around, finding his sister standing there looking impatient. He guessed that she had tried to communicate with him several times, maybe even gently tapping him on the shoulder, before getting all aggressive. "You should get medication for that absent-mindness you have" she muttered, glaring at him. "Well, good morning to you too Audry" he said in a sarcastic tone eying his sister up and down. She was a Ravenclaw just as himself and you could tell that they were siblings. They had the same hair color and similar facial features, yet her eyes were a deep blue and her lips fuller. "I wanted to know if you were to ever give out the information about this years Quidditch try-outs? I heard the Slytherins have already made reservations as well as the Gryffindors, but maybe you care more about having your head up in the clouds than your obligations as Quidditch Captain?" Audry half yelled at her brother, causing a few heads to turn in their direction. She brushed her hair away from her face, some of it having decided to stick to her mouth as she spoke. "Talking to the captain like that wont ever get you a place on the team you know" he said, grinning a little as he took a sip from his pumpkin juice. Audrys eyes darkened a little and she hit the bottom of the cup as he drank, causing it to spill out over him. "You know very well that you need me on the team, i'm the best keeper around. I just want our team to win for once, but i guess we can't expect that with someone like you as captain!" She growled at him before giving him a glance up and down, pulling off a proud grin and walking off to sit with her friends. Phoenix resisted the urge to turn his sister into a goose and muttered a little as he dried and cleaned his shirt up using a spell. He hated that his sister had no respect at all for him, and he hated that she was right regarding this. he really had to book the Quidditch field and put up some infor about when and where the try outs were. He sighed as he stood up, gathering his books and starting to walk away.

Acacia also moved; it was almost time for Defence Against the Dark Arts. She saw Phoenix leaving; she knew he was also a Sixth Year, having been sat several places behind him last year for the O.W.L.S. She walked through the school, and eventually arrived at the classroom. Seeing as hardly anyone else was present, she leaned against the wall and looked at who else was in the class - several Slytherins, Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs. So far, she was the only Gryffindor. Fine by me, she thought as she folded her arms.

Professor Stockling layed in his teachers chair waiting for the rest of the class as his pets greeted them. A large black dog pushed Acacia to her seat as two other creatures scurried around the classroom quickly searching for something. Once the rest of the class had made it to his room the scarred middle-aged man stood himself up and the hedgehog and Blast-Ended Screwt ran up to him and crawled onto his clothing as the Mastiff walked right beside him, waiting for the lesson to begin. "Welcome to Defense the Dark Arts, the class where I teach you softies how to handle Dark Magic. Todays lesson will be about this specimen that I have recently obtained for this class." The proffesor went into a dark room and out from there pulled out a large ornate sort of wardrobe with the help of the large black dog. "Now can anyone tell me what is in this wardrobe?" he asked as the box was constantly wiggling.

IC: "Ummm Professor Stockling, I think that might be a Boggart?" Alexander said scratching his head thinking about it maybe he was thinking of another year. "Anyway we are in Sixth Year shouldn't we be learning something else if I'm correct?" Alexander asked he then was looking around to see if anybody else had an idea it seemed like a few. Alexander then layed back and gripped something in his pocket.

Acacia leaned back slightly, starring at the box. She had a funny feeling she knew what it was. She looked around, and saw the others also trying to work out what could be inside. Deciding she might as well, she slowly raised her hand and waited for Professor Stockling to notice. As she did so, she began to wonder whether or not they were going to face whatever was inside that wardrobe.
