What program did you use?

 

if you used photoshop, just delete the white last layer & save it as a gif or a png.

I don't complain about it because I want to rip off him' date=' I can make my own sprites. And even if the glow wasnt there it'd be hard to use with the white BG. >_> The glow is choppy and makes the sprite look like crap, you got a problem with that? >_>

One I would really like to know what you would do if I did have a problem and two I did not say steel them I said use them if some one wanted to use them then I could see a problem with the glow and drop shadow but apart from that I don't see why it should not go on there cus I think it makes them stand out and I think it makes them look better as long as you get the glow right.

WHite backgeound problem? simple go to iaza.com, they have a function to transparatize everything of one color, sso just change your background to a color not found in the sprite, and then whammo load it up and hit the transpaerent tab, and it's free!

That part was infuriating' date=' suggesting I wanted to 'use' it, I would have said "awww man I wanted to use it" and when I didn't say that, after I 'helped' with the glow, suggesting that I wanted to 'rip' him

Just as a quick comment, I have no issue with white background, and I don't get why some people do. However perhaps I'll just avoid that debate, knowing it probably won't go anywhere.

 

On to the sprite itself, I will first actually talk about the overall conceptual stuff. You have a lot of things going on and I don't get how some relate i guess. You gave Vileplume a giant red spike. It now has a Smeargle like tail (although judging by your name, I take it your a Smeargle fan =P). It has some weird glow to it. Basically what I'm getting at is that I don't really know what's going on, too busy and cluttered with a bunch of ideas. Some super glowing, painting, weird colored Vileplume with a spike?

 

Speaking of weird colored, I don't thin they really match that well. Red spike, purple flower, yellow skin, blue glow, and green paint all make a very odd combination. Perhpas making it so the tail, flower spots, and body were all the same color would make a more unified and stable appearance (personally I find that the light purple color looks good on the body, I tried it and it looked nice I think).

 

Mechanically, there aren't much in the way mistakes actually, although perhaps that is due to the simplicity of it all. The right hand looks a little claw like in comparison to the other hand. Perhaps try increasing the size or changing the shape of the other one so it's like the holding the tail. Eye splotch would look better if it went around the entire eye, and was angled just a little more the left. Shading on the spike could be a little more rounded to give the spike a more cylindrical and natural look.

This dose not suggest that you wanted to rip him off it refers to the maker or the customer that requested the splice so you have nothing to be an grey about.
