[spoiler=Plot by Lemniscate]Long ago, there was a city called Ancelebd, a bustling city, the largest in the world, a metropolitan hub. It lived in a massive tiers system, cornered on one side by large mountains, on the farthest edge opposite, the ocean. The city was said to be the greatest city on Earth, and was heralded by the nations of the world as a utopia. But, after a century of prosperity, the city began to falter. Natural disasters along the coast, and an isolationist dictatorship within led the city to eventual collapse. At the same time, the escapist tendencies of humanity came to a head, and humanity developed a system, a massive isolated network, within the city only, into which people could transfer themselves and become lost in their imaginations. The city, thus collapsed, and devoid of true leadership or outside contact, died.

At the end of the dictatorship, the House of Maw, a series of monitors was created, stewards of the network world, and the head of the House took his place as the leader of all, Above the network. But soon after, the son of Above grew jealous, and anxious in his stewardship of the dreamscape, and thus went to the glass wall above the city, the Glass Plain, and there killed his father, in the Hall of Angels, throne of the new order. In the grief beyond his actions, he decided that he would take what was left of his father, and give to him the place of leading the dreamscape, as he once had. Now known as the Conductor, leader of the Trainfield, the place where all dreams mingle, the father was torn. With his human conscious still functioning, he came to battle within over whether to train someone within the dreamscape to kill his son, or follow his new programming, and keep peace and control over the land. Now, his anguish is fulfilled, as a single boy, a young man named Halcyon finds himself free of the network world, and traveling out to the city, both in conflict and unity with the Conductor. But, unable to fulfill his goal, he becomes the Conductor's Acolyte, the shepherd of the next people to leave, and the trainer of those who may one day kill Above.

 

[spoiler=Important Terms by Lemniscate]Ancelebd: The city the story takes place in.

House of Maw: The crime family that lead Ancelebd before its collapse.

Conductor: Head of the Dreamscape, former leading father of the House of Maw.

Above: Son of the Conductor and leader of Ancelebd. Lives in the Glass Plain.

Glass Plain: The land above the city, suspended on the mountains, is connected to the Dreamscape.

Bastion Law: The fortress where Above lives, has the ability to override and control the Dreamscape.

Eidolon Children: Children who have gained powers due to mental adaptations from the Dreamscape, not considered real people, as they lack true emotions from the changes in their minds. They measure things instead in fully logic-based and objective views.

Halcyon: The first recorded Eidolon child. He was recruited by the Conductor to kill Above, but was terminated when he became insubordinate and turned against the Conductor. He founded the Halcyon Corp as a way to carry on his own legacy. A bit of a narcissist, he sees himself as the greatest creation of humanity.

Halcyon Corp: Group of Eidolon Children, founded by Halcyon during his time as an Acolyte for the Conductor.

The Trainfield: The meeting place for the trains of the Dreamscape. Anyone leaving for a fantasy or mission goes through the field. It is led and controlled by the Conductor.

Echelon Alpha: The guards directly under the Conductor, keep order and manage the Dreamscape.

Echelon Beta: The security system of the Dreamscape, is the secondary tier of the management system.

Echelon Gamma: The engineers of the Dreamscape, seen as scum by the guards, they are the only humans outside of the Dreamscape.

Hall of Angels: The hall at the apex of Bastion Law. It surrounds the Throne of Above, and also houses the total controls for the Dreamscape.

 

[spoiler=Characters by Lemniscate]- Nox: A 20-something year old male who gambles and uses tactics more than anything. He deplores hand to hand combat as beneath him, and so instead uses guns he has modified himself to be more accurate and powerful. He uses the element of darkness.

 

- Sindy: A strange young girl who carries books around with her all the time. They are all from various abandoned buildings the Halcyon Corp has dug through, and give her a sort of splotchy, semi-encyclopedic knowledge of the city. She uses the element of lightning.

 

- Maestro Jed: A teenager who considers himself a master of music. He carries around a baton which he uses to cast sound spells on opponents, but can replace the baton with virtually any instrument, affecting the spells used. He uses the element of sound.

 

- Jessie: The oldest of the group, and the leader. He is a technological mind and strategist, who takes missions for the team, and has direct contact with the Conductor. He lets his team use their strengths, but also expects them to follow him with whatever he says. He uses the element of gravity.

 

- Kellie: A beautiful 20 year old woman. She is a master at hand to hand combat and is said to be quite a bit of a flirt. She oftentimes uses her beauty to get information from others, and is very talented at stealth missions. She is dating Jessie, and uses the element of time.

We need more people. If you can make maps or sprite, or doing something else helpful, post

here saying so, and we'll give you access to the awesomely epicly looking site of ours O3O

We need people who use RPG Maker VX for the maps.
