tiramisuwithpandora
Not normally a fan of Synchro Monsters, but felt inspired to create these. First, the epithets for the Olympians: Aphrodite Pandemos: For all people, the commoner's AphroditeApollo Loxias: Apollo the obscureAres Maleros: Brutal AresArtemis Elaphiaia: Artemis of the DeerAthena Glaukopis: Gray-Eyed AthenaDemeter Anesidora: Demeter, Sender of GiftsHades Nekrodagmon: Hades, Receiver of the DeadHephaestus Aithaloeis: Sooty HephaestusHera Hypercheiria: Hera whose hand protects from aboveHermes Enagonios: Hermes of the GamesPoseidon Enosichthon: Poseidon the Earth-ShakerZeus Brontios: Zeus the Thunderer Second, many thanks to the folks at DeviantArt, without whom none of this would have been possible. They deserve all the credit for their brilliant artwork. Third, Some effects: Apollo Loxias: 1 "Tuner" monster + 1 or more non-"Tuner" monster Once per turn, you may remove the top card of your opponent's deck from play face-down. On your opponent's second Standby Phase after the activation of this card's effect, your opponent shows you the card and adds it to their hand, then apply one of the following effects: Monster- Your opponent Special Summon the added card. Spell- Your opponent draws 2 cards and discards 1 card from their hand. Trap- You gain 1000 lifepoints and your opponent must destroy 1 monster on his/her side of the field. Mythical Steed - Pegasus: Once per turn, during your Main Phase, if you control this card on the field, you can equip it to your "Mythical Hero - Bellerophon" as an Equip Card OR unequip the Union equipment and Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. While equipped to a monster by this card's effect, the equipped monster has its ATK and DEF increased by 300 and can attack your opponent directly by halving its attack points. (1 monster can only be equipped with 1 Union monster at a time. If the equipped monster is destroyed as a result of battle, destroy this card instead.) Fourth, some strategy: If you'll notice, many monsters have combined levels of 7. This is intentional. They are intended to quickly summon the Level 7 Olympian Synchros, and in turn, these are intended to be used as Synchro Material with "Olympian Synchron" to summon a Level 10 Olympian Synchro monster. Lord Smeagle
As a huge Greek mythology buff, I gotta say these cards are amazing, and much better than the usual sets. My only complaints are that Eris and Jason are OP'd. All the rest are very good, with fitting, mostly original effects. 9.9/10, good sir (ma'am?) tiramisuwithpandora
I agree that Eris is overpowered, so any idea for a different effect that still keeps the pick 3 golden apple-myth theme? I know Jason is overpowered, but for a guy who took dozens of mighty heroes on his ship, it's quite appropriate. I tried to limit that with the Lifepoint bar. Perhaps I could raise that and eliminate the not-able-to-be-negated effect.I'm a guy, BTW. and thank you for your commentary.
