I want to join the "new concept" fad too (X Zone)

Maybe not that big of a fad, but oh well.

The RFG does an awful job of actually removing things from play, it's basically just a short-term storage in a lot of prepared Decks.

I don't like that.

When something is sent to Zone X, it stays there.

Nothing removes cards from Zone X.

Cards in Zone X are face-up and can be checked just like the Graveyard.

World X

Field Card

When a card would be sent to the Graveyard or removed from play, it is sent to Zone X instead. When this card would be removed from the field, you can send 1 card in your hand to Zone X instead.

Xplosion of History

Normal Spell Card

Send 1 card in your hand and all cards in both player's Graveyard and that have been removed from play to Zone X.

Lost to Time

Normal Trap Card

Select 1 monster in either player's Graveyard or that has been removed from play, send it to Zone X. As long as that card is in Zone X, monsters with that name cannot be Summoned or activate their effects.

The Fiend of Everlasting Curse

Fiend/Dark/Level 4

1700 ATK/0 DEF

When this card destroys a monster as a result of battle, send it to Zone X. While this card is in Zone X, increase the ATK of all monsters you control by 300.

Experimental Death Sorcerer

Spellcaster/Dark/Level 4

1500 ATK/0 DEF

|Once per turn while this card is in Zone X, select 1 card you control. That card inflicts piercing damage until the End Phase.| (I prefer this OCG, don't mention it)

Fighter of Lost Memories

Warrior/Light/Level 4

? ATK/? DEF

This cards ATK and DEF are equal to the number of your monsters in Zone X * 500. When this card is sent to Zone X, destroy 1 card on the field.

The Unknown Warrior

Warrior/Light/Level 8

3500 ATK/3000 DEF

You can only control 1 "The Unknown Warrior". This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned when you have 10 or more cards in Zone X. All cards in Zone X are flipped face-down and neither player can check them. All cards that would be sent to the Graveyard or that would be removed from play are sent to Zone X instead. Once per turn, destroy 1 card on the field.

I'm going to sleep now, thoughts?

It's a -2 in advantage that asks the meta to politely remember that things that have been destroyed, buried foolishly or otherwise sent to another dimension are not supposed to be considered at hand/in temporary storage. If it creates a less Graveyard-based meta by being OP'd against that style of play, so be it, they had that coming.

And yes, it's obvious I play Gadgets/Gravekeepers with Oppression and I like advantage to be a nice countable thing in the hand and on the field =p

There's a huge amount of Decks that using the Xplosion against would be a waste against because of the advantage loss. And it doesn't overpower the Fighter beyond 500 ATK for each of your monsters sent there, which is unlikely to ever bring him over 5000, not outlandish in a destruction-effect-heavy meta when Gren Maju also exists and is supported by a much wider range of cards such as Necroface and the DD Series.
