Possibly worse than being grounded.

You should make a T-Shirt saying 'THERE IS NO GOD' and wear it when you go to the meeting with the preist.

BRILLIANT.

[spoiler=RELIGIOUSJOKELOL]

A rich American tourist was holidaying in Rome, and was intent on seeing the Pope. There he stood, in a big long line with a rather expensive suit on, hoping the Pope would notice how smart he was and perhaps talk a few words with him.

As the Pope made his way slowly down the line, he walked right past the American, hardly even noticing him.

The Pope then stopped next to a low-life sot, leaned over and whispered something in the sot's ear, and made his way on again.

This really angered the American. After speaking with the drunkard, the American agreed to pay $1000 dollars to exchange clothing, in the hope that the Pope would speak to him the next day.

The next morning the American stood in the line, waiting to see the Pope and hopefully exchange a few words. The Pope was making his way slowly up to the American. When he finally reached him, he leaned over to the American and spoke softly into his ear..

"I thought I told you yesterday to get the f**k out of here."

Anywaiz, can't you corrupt the priest? :3

The entire Christian society in Boston will have my nuts. That means they'll kill me.

Wear a jacket over the shirt, and when you get into whatever room you meet the preist in, take the jacket off.

Bam. Problem solved.

First of all if your parents think that you being Atheist and "Anti-Social" are interlinked, they are incredibly selfish.

Continuing, a lot of teens go through this, and very very often parents take the wrong steps to try and "fix" these "problems".

Atheism is a choice people are allowed to make, religion is a choice people are allowed to make. Parents, especially ones so interconnected with their faith always throw this out the window when it comes to their kids. The best thing for most teens to do is to explain to their parents that they indeed have the right to do and be what they want to people. Whether that means being an atheist or trying other religions -(Follow this like an actual conversation)-

I know that atheism has been blown up to be something satanic, but it isn't. I need to be able to see things for myself, not through the eyes of my parents, and that means choosing my own religion if any at all. You may not like it, but wouldn't you rather me to be a Catholic-if I so choose- on my own will, and not because you're forcing me to?

I'm sorry if that was odd, but trust me, I typed it out the other way and that was the best way.

Continuing, being Anti-Social is just a term parents use because they can't explain why their kid is introverted. The key thing to realize when it comes down to this, is that there are many avenues to take to become more Social than talking to a Phycologist -Yes, it is true, I would explain further but I have already typed too much-. Things usually turn bad when parents try to interfere with their child's Social Life. Parents don't understand that each generation is different when it comes down to these terms, and must therefore only be at the child's side when they are ready to be helped. Force is never the driving benefactor.

To wrap things up, I seriously hope that you understood some of this, at least some of this. I tried to not direct it towards you, like you mentioned, so I hope everything works out.

Thanks Muluck, that really helped me a lot. No joke, no sarcasm. They are just scared, but these are way too drastic measures for me to handle. :/

paint a red Pentagram

Get me an image, and I'll promise to wear a white tshirt with that stickered on. Because it sounds cool.

Too drastic?

Drastic would be dressing up like a stereo typical Atheist and burning a Cross.

These are the very opposite of drastic.

But as long as you have a plan on what you feel comfortable with doing, I will leave it alone.

For the preist, I'm going to pretend like I care but not listen.

I already know exactly what he is going to say, and I don't care enough to have a religious debate with him. Nodding my head and wearing a red pentagram works, too.

For the psychologist, hopefully he/she is mad chill, so I can actually make worth of the hour I am spending with him/her.

Very well.

By the way, Psychologists make the better part of their money from parents like yours and extremely depressed individuals with a lot of money and very selfish relatives.

Sometimes I wonder why I even want a degree in this field.

But most of the cool [fiction] stories are in The Bible. Like that Ark dude who built a Noah and road the rain for 40 nights and 40 days, while gathering 2.3 of every animal possible.

But I got that from fakereligion.org, so it must be true!

It has to be a black shirt.

Something like this should work.

I can go out if I want to' date=' but I just don't want to most of the time. I am perfectly fine staying home for 20 days (assuming I have sufficient food and water) playing video games, using the computer, or watching TV. While I do have friends, I don't need them for 'entertainment'.

[/quote']

I know what you mean!

I can have fun all by myself and never get bored.

When I go out, I do have a good time, but I probably won't go out soon unless it's some special occasion or my friends insist.

My parents wanted to send me to psychologist, too, but I did a trick. Since they wanted to use psychology on me, I used it on them.

I told them something we learned in Psychology class. There exist introvert, extravert and ambivert people.

I'm an extreme introvert. This means that I like to stay indoors, work on myself (read books, work out and similar), don't have many friends, but do share very strong bonds with those I have.

After I had told them this, they were like: "Still, we'd like you to socialize more", but they eventually called off that meeting with a psychologist.

Nowadays, I distract them by doing extremely well at school and fulfilling my obligations. They're too proud to complain. ;)

As for the priest, tell him you've read The Da Vinci Code. Priests are allergic to it.

The Priest might not be as ignorant as you think. I know, a strange statement coming from an Atheist like myself, but I've spoken to my town's Priest before after he's come into our school. He seemed like a cool guy, apparently he gets moaned at for dressing casually instead of wearing his robes, which he thinks is stupid. He said that he's not someone who will force religion down anyone's throat, and although, yes, it is part of his job to "spread the word" he'll simply state why religion is a good thing for you and let you make your own choice. He had no problem with me being Atheist.

ITT: All preists are the same as Brushfire's local preist.

Dude' date=' come on. Every priest isn't some friggin' junky ready to rip at you for not believing in their beliefs. Calm down. If my pastor was like that, I'd have left the church a long time ago. And even though their are some extremists priests, assuming every priest was like that, they would be the only people of that religion.

Even [i']you're[/i] not that stupid.
