Yeah... Text is kinda like an Email. They're not gonna have to respond right away when you want to talk. While IM is when you're online, and Phone is as good as in person in some cases.

How else do you communicate with your mates out of school in class?

 

Talk to them

 

They're going to be kilometres away, and I'm in a Physics lesson learning things I already know.

By 'talk to them', do you propose I scream as loud as I can, hoping they can hear me?

My response? "Actually, I was planning on continuing the epic journey that is known as Paper Mario. Maybe some other day."
