Cause And Effect (A Loop RP) (PG-13)

This is my First RP. Let's all hope it runs smoothly.

Thank you to Star Trek: The Next Generation for inspiration for the title.

[spoiler=Plot]

A normal day. Almost. As you wake up precicely at 12:01 AM, you decide to take a course of action. This action is not, in retrospect, important to the plot, except you decide to stay up late tonight. On the computer, you become bored, and watch the clock on the lower right of your PC count down to an utterly insignificant Midnight. However, as the clock hits midnight, you black out.

 

One minute later, you regain consciousness. 12:01 precicesly. Today is a normal day. Almost. Halfway through the day, you notice a strange feeling of Deja vu. However, you dismiss it as a sleep problem.

That night, you are on your PC, when you decide to watch the little clock at the bottom right of your screen count down to midnight. An utterly insignificant midnight. Once again, when the small digital clock hits midnight, you black out.

 

One minute later, at 12:01 AM, you decide to check the date this time. The date is still March 31. The same date as yesterday. However, after double-checking it by asking several people, you realize that only a select few can perceive that "yesterday" was really today, and that this will continue unless you, and these other few people must band together to break this continuous stream of Time.

1) All YCM rules (includes no GMing)

2) Each "day" is a continuous loop. Anyone who cannot perceive this will only alter their routine for the day if interacted with.

3) You can die. However, at 12:01 AM March 31, you would be alive, so at the end of the current loop, you reawaken in your room doing whatever you were doing at 11:59 PM, March 31.

4) There will be events in chronological order to determine how much time you have left in the current loop. These can be avoided, but the event still happens

(Example: You are almost run over by a car. The next repitition, you avoid the car, but the car still rockets down the street.)

5) I want a decent experience from my first RP. Try to keep up. If your character does not appear during one to two pages of RPing, or only posts their app, I will either assume you quit, in which case you will be negged, or you have died a horrible death, in which case, I will still neg your ghostly account.

Furthermore, if you cannot find the time to post within 5 pages of RPing without PMing me on your absence, you will be banned from this RP.

Name: Gemin

Age: 15

Appearance: 5' 8" Caucasian boy, semi-decent build, has messy black hair, brown eyes, and black clothing, except for his shoes and socks, which are both white.

Personality: Smartish, optimistic most of the time, although usually neutral in emotion. If something really good happens, he'll smile, if something bad happens, he'll try to be optimistic.

Bio: Gemin is the oldest of a brother and sister pair. Like any normal brother, he would annoy his little sister for fun. He grew out of this at age 14, and his sister tried to return the favor. So far, it hasn't worked, due to his optimistic outlook on life. Usually, his little sister's attempts end up with her in tears, and Gemin walking the other way.

[spoiler=RP Example:]Preoccupied with her own thoughts, Selene was zoned out until some circus performer walked in. She looked tired, and wasn't apparently paying much attention to Igor, but Selene still took a little pity on her. While she was off at school, this woman probably was performing out in the streets. Not that either of them were noticed by the public, but still. Why would someone let a woman like this starve?

 

Turning back to Igor, and the contract he offered, Selene made up her mind. She took the quill, and with a quivering touch, she signed her name in velvet ink on the first dotted line. She hoped that by doing so, she could erase her own stain on her personality, but more importantly, she decided to face the consequences of her actions. Just like her normal fights at home and at school.

 

Now that Selene had sat back down, she became a little inpatient. Checking her watch, she realized that it wasn't working. Not knowing what time it was, nor knowing what she had to do next, Selene decided to stay in the luxorious restaurant.

Look, I know that this is an original idea, and that this possibly needs to wait, but this is my last bump that I'm going to spend on this RP.

 

There are 40+ views on this thread. I know someone out there is interested. It's not like the app is terribly long either. There's nothing that isn't here except for applicants.
