We speak to each other...

But only with our lips...

This game that people play would be funny if it weren't so true.

But when it comes right down to where you live, it often hurts.

We become slaves to our thoughts.

 

Such a spectacle for people to be even be consumed by their imagination.

Sure it would be easy for me to get bogged-down with my thoughts too, but where would that get me?

I want my thoughts to lift me up...

Not weigh them down.

 

I've found that it's a lot healthier and happier to think about the things I've got instead of the things I haven't got.

And if I hang in there with that thought,

maybe you'll notice me one day for what I really am.

We're not all what we think we are, but what we THINK we ARE.

Let me see if I understood that right, We are what we think we are. For say, if I think I'm a (or qualified to be a ) history teacher, then in the future when I grow up, that's what I'll become.

Well, I'm not going to be a doctor, because most likely the world will end. Oh no!!!! (Sarcasm doesn't really translate well in text, but that is clear, I hope.)

 

Well, I also don't want to pursue a medical career, though my teachers think I should, because I can't stand being in those infectious grim atmospheres. It becomes you, drowning your soul.
