The_Prince_of_Death
hmm not sure. I know a few people who have had the same real life experience. they all tried to get the satanist to go with god. I laughed in my head at the attempts. It was funny yet boring to hear them drag on about their stories about seeing god once or twice. I'd rather just live with the friend and not use religion in anything we do. Willieh
Satanism: Selfishness. Focusing your existence around yourself in order to better your own life. Using your definition' date=' I'm a Satanist.[/quote'] You would be a LaVeyan Satanist. That's basically Atheism, but it incorporates the idea of Satan to symbolize man's inherent nature. One of those natures, selfishness. Well. It depends on if you're a Devil-Worshiper or a Satanist. Satanism' date=' itself, has nothing to do with Satan. It's just the opposite of Christianity. And in this scenario: Christianity: Selflessness. Trying to help others get ahead in life.Satanism: Selfishness. Focusing your existence around yourself in order to better your own life.[/quote'] I cannot even begin to explain how false this is. Well. It depends on how you want to split it up. I personally split it up between Devil Worshipers and true Satanists. Because, once again personally, I find Devil-Worshipers to be asinine. Just like anything else, there's are endless variations of satanism; but the only one I really think is worth following is form that isn't associated with a deity. In this situation, it's a pure Satanist. Atheistic Satanism is stupid. =/ inb4iusedtobealaveyansatanist No. Worshiping The Devil is stupid. "Atheistic" Satanism betters your life. Devil Worshiping guarantees you go to hell... Satanism doesn't worship the Devil. It worships Satan. Which is why it's called Satanism, not Devilism. Satan is the devil. Hence my saying "The Devil" and not "A Devil". *sigh* I'm going to stop here. I really don't feel like getting into the same argument 4 times in one day. Not even lying. I argued with 3 people today on the difference b/w Satan and the Devil. I won all 3 arguments. 8) I understand the difference. "The Devil" is an idea while Satan is a literal name referring to the theological "Beelzebub." The Devil is a name associated with things that are usually referred to as bad. But, for the sake of argument, you will at least have to admit that The Devil is also a name referring to Satan. Just like Beelzebub, Lucifer, etc...
