Lord Smeagle
Wikipedia sez']The phrase "swan song" is a reference to an ancient belief that the Mute Swan (Cygnus olor) is completely mute during its lifetime until the moment just before it dies, when it sings one beautiful song.[1] Give credit where credit is due! Cards on the Contributor List are done by the respective cardmakers. Cards not listed are done by me.
Contributor List:'] Max Darkness: Swan Song - "Save the Music"Swan Song - "Butterfly"Last Symphony Lovely C. C. Swan Song - "Dance With The Devil"
Click For Awesome'] You must Tribute 3 monsters to Normal Summon this card (you cannot Set this card). The Normal Summon of this card cannot be negated. When this card is Normal Summoned, Spells, Traps, and Effect Monster effects cannot be activated. This card cannot be targeted by the effects of Spells, Traps or Effect Monsters. If this card is Special Summoned, it is sent to the Graveyard during the End Phase. Once per turn, you can return 1 "Swan Song" monster from your Graveyard to your Deck to Special Summon 1 Level 5 or lower "Swan Song" monster from your hand or Deck. Once per turn, for each "Swan Song" monster you control, you can increase the ATK of one monster on the field by 500, until the End Phase. Let's face it, gaiz - I love it here, but I spend way too much time on this site. I need to focus on more important things; grades and scholarships, for instance. But I'm not going to just up and leave without one final performance - and I want you all to join in! "Swan Song" Archetype "Swan Song" monsters are music-themed cards. Their effects revolve around activating a single effect multiple times - once for each "Swan Song" monster you control. One "Swan Song" monster is rarely a threat, but several playing in unison are a nightmare for your opponent. Some of them have other effects, too, but as a rule, the more "Swan Song" monsters you have, the stronger each one is. So you wanna get in on this gig? There are a couple of rules if you want to submit a card: 1. All monsters must be named after a song, preferably one people have heard of, and include "Swan Song" in the title. Song title should be in quotes (example below) the song should somehow fit the effect that you give it. 2. All Spell/Trap Cards, if not named after a song, should be otherwise music-themed. 3. All cards should have a music-themed pic. I realize that such pictures are a little harder to find. Pop Culture pics are acceptable, provided they work (but I don't expect to see 20 Brutal Legends pics up here) 4. PM me with your card, the IMG Credit for your card, and the words "Rocket Sauce." Let's rock! If your card is good and meets all requirements, I will add it to the set and rep you. (Or, if you happen to be a neg collector, I can neg you.) Your name will be added to a Contributor List. Also, when this set is finished, I will be leaving and giving away all my points to people on my Contributor List.
Monsters'] 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Swan Song" monstersDuring the turn this card is Summoned, it cannot be removed from the field. (Damage calculation is applied normally.) Once per turn, if you control at least 1 different "Swan Song" monster, you can flip a number of face-up Spell and Trap Cards your opponent controls face-down equal to the number of "Swan Song" monsters you control. This card gains 100 ATK for each "Swan Song" monster you control. Once per turn, during your Standby Phase, you can look at a number of cards from the top of your Deck equal to the number of "Swan Song" monsters you control and rearrange them. If you activate this effect, this card cannot declare an attack during your Battle Phase. Once per turn, this card gains 1000 ATK for each "Swan Song" monster on the field until the End Phase of this turn. During the Battle Phase of the turn this effect is activated, all Battle Damage is reduced to 0. When this card is destroyed, Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Swan Song" monster from your hand. You can remove this card from your Graveyard from play to add 1 "Swan Song" monster in your Deck to your hand. If your opponent controls a LIGHT monster, cards cannot be sent from the Deck to the Graveyard. If your opponent controls a DARK monster, cards cannot be removed from play. If your opponent controls a LIGHT and a DARK monster, you can Tribute this card to Special Summon 1 Level 7 or lower "Swan Song" monster from your Deck. This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card returns to its owner's hand during the End Phase of a turn it was Normal Summoned or flipped face-up. When this card returns to the hand, you can Special Summon 1 "Swan Song" monster from your Deck with a Level less than or equal to the number of "Swan Song" monsters you control x2. This card cannot be Normal Summoned. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by sending all monsters you control, including at least 2 "Swan Song" monsters, to the Graveyard. Once per turn, you can activate one of the following effect(s) based on the number of monsters you control:1: Special Summon a "Swan Song" monster from your hand.2: Take control of a monster your opponent controls.3: Look at your opponent's hand and select 1 monster in it. Special Summon it.4: Special Summon a monster from either player's Graveyard.5: Return this card to your hand and Special Summon 1 "Swan Song" monster from your Deck.
Spell Cards']
Traps'] Activate only when a "Swan Song" monster you control is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, once per turn, you can select 1 "Swan Song" monster in your Graveyard and activate its effect. Pay 750 Life Points during each of your Standby Phases. If you do not, this card is destroyed. Lord Smeagle
It doesn't actually have to be playing an instrument. If it looks like it's singing, or emitting sound waves, or it has musical notes...just something to emphasize "music." As long as it's good. "Waking the Demon" added.Update: My first contributor cards!
