Jappio
Well normally I'd be one to go into a very long winded C+C about these, however I can't. I can't do this as these are not sprites, and I am only able to truly help in that area. Sprites are creations made pixel by pixel. Every pixel is suppose to count. Things like palette limitations exist, meaning only a couple of shades should exist per color. What you've done is simply shrink these images. Sure it brings them to the size of a sprite, but it does not make them one. Also I can't help but notice the difference in style I feel these have. They are well drawn and all, but don't quite look like they are the same style. Algeaf looks like a Digimon, as do some of the others slightly. Those top two having backgrounds doesn't match the others. The grass ones having names, names directly on the image, doesn't match the others. Has a mix-matched feel. Jappio
Being taught to sprite isn't quite easy. There are tutorials out there, but spriting isn't so simple it can be instantly learned with one. One thing though to mention is that there is no way to just hit a button and turn these into sprites. You literally will have to remake them from scratch. I use MS paint like a bunch of spriters, and in that program we use the pencil tool. A tool that creates singular pixels. One solid color in one solid square. We use those to create shapes and such. Use that for outlining basically. Then you use the fill tool to get some colors in there, and make sure to only use about 3-4 colors per shade. Then finally fine tuning. Also make sure to always save .png, and only that format. So yeah, that is a "very" brief description. I could maybe go into detail more if it's needed, but I cant promise it will be the best. Scratching is tough, and something I am not that good at yet, not to a point where I can truly teach it.
