Humanity (my thoughts on it triumphs and failings)

As we grow closer and closer to the so called "end times". I have been thinking more and more about Humanity as a whole. It seams that of all of our successes and failures have really amounted to nothing. Over the last couple hundred thousand years we as a race have learned nothing have never truly united. Among all this time we as a race have had no collective goal. Not even survival has us all convinced. Sure we may have advanced technologically and in our so called society. But if you peak threw the curtain of what we fool our selves in to thinking is "progress". You will find that we have repeated the same mistakes over and over again. It seams that we have not learned a thing in all our history. We may have learned how to use the wheel to cary us from place to place. I am talking about a truth among the lies that we tell ourselves a way that man can solve all our problems. By not treating the symptoms of our society but going to the heart of the problem, killing the cancer on our people. Our cancer is not one of the body but one of the mind. This cancer is greed dishonesty and anger. I am a firm believer that a man can make a difference. But now with our times so turbulent and our problem so deep rooted that a man can only make a difference By killing the circle of conspirators that have spread their lies threw out society. For all we have done for all we can explain we have learned nearly nothing about our selves.

Note: I am not a pessimist or a optimist I'm just posting this a sort of a thing to consider and comment on. I would like to hear your views on the subject as well.

Not true. There is one goal we've accomplished. Thought I doubt we meant to. We're destroying the Earth's atmosphere. We're destroying and poisoning nature.

This cancer is greed, dishonesty, and anger.

Also this is all apart of the Human Nature.

What "end times"?

And yeah we still have animal instincts, THANK GOD WE HAVE THEM!

But I looked at the posts so far and decided I'm not going to take this thread seriously.

Even if I'm Raven-teh-pessimist but I think it became so hard that it's wearing off.:/

Granted some of us are too thick-headed to learn from past mistakes (often they have too much influence too) but it's never the entire humanity. Not all of us want to kill each other and not all of us want to pollute everything.

What kind of collective goal do you suggest?

And good luck on getting rid of greed, dishonesty and anger!

I do say, I believe the human race can accomplish well near everything.

I mean, really ol' chap. That Korea fellow has created nuclear miss-iles. Surely we can stop our horrideous anger.

Anger, greed, and dishonesty are nothing we can do anything about. We are humans, and we make mistakes. What will truly matter, is the repentance, and if there is any. Thing is, when you consider humanity as a whole, you forget that each and every one of us are different and do different things with our lives. Not all of us are selfish, angry, dishonest barbarians.

Over history, there are mistakes we have learned from. For example, we learned that because of not strict enough airport security, along came 9/11. Now everything is checked thoroughly and efficiently. That is one example, and although the whole world may not have learned something, each and every one of us do learn something every day.

You can't just consider the growth of everyone learning from the same thing, because no matter how terrible something is, not ALL of us will learn from it, because we are all different. You must add the factor of our individual growth.

And can you provide any valid information that 9/11 wasn't, in fact, a government attack on it's own country just to stimulate something to have the people in favor of going to war with a middle-east country who can provide us oil?

NOT THIS DEBATE AGAIN. D:
