Sorry ;(

this thread, for once, is not about me or drugs.

The Children of Mumbai,

all over India many children are forced to come out of education to work the streets in order support their families.

Boys

Many young boys are influenced into joining gangs, creating their own families, the gang leader is usually and older adult male and the followers, children, these men influence them into taking drugs such as whitener to make hunger go away (whitener is an extremley addictive and harmful drug and the hunger returns within a matter of hours) and most of the time are sexually abused.

Girls

Girls usually work the streets trying to sell whatever they can on top of this they look after the mother or gaurdians babies and does all the general house keeping. If someone told a girl to work 4 hours she would work for 4 hours, if someone told her to work for 10 hours, she would work for 10 hours.

Education

For Boys

Most boys in Mumbai would perhaps say they would love to get an education, this is generally not the case, even though the future may seem daunting without one they try not to think about it, many boys do not in fact leap at the chance of education, perhaps they have fallen behind to far or perhaps they would rather be getting high all day (mostly from solvents you would inhale).

For Girls

To put it simply most girls in Mumbai would leap at the chance of education and stay there.

Discuss your views on the conditions for the children in Mumbai.
