There are a huge number of cards which do this card's job better, most entirely destroy the opponent's monster.

Cards that are just out-classed by this are "UP'd" or "underpowered" and won't usually end up being used anywhere. Keep trying, but aim for more powerful cards in the future.

this is merely a spell version of Negate Attack, and that doesn't have the cost yours does

 

now, on the other hand if this was a continuous spell card and you could use the effect once per turn, THEN it might be better
