Activate this card when your opponent declares an attack while you control 2 monsters with the same name and the attack target is 1 of those monsters. Switch the attack target to face-down Defense Position. If the monster is destroyed, it gains the following effect:

---Flip: Your opponent takes 1000 points of damage. During your End Phase, you can remove this card from play to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower monster from your Graveyard.

let's see here, I don't see any OCG errors, so that part is good

 

a little confused about the Flip part in the effect though, since the trap is being destroyed, so what does the flip have to do with it?

 

unless you were referring to the monster card being flipped over, in which case I just read it wrong

 

I'm unsure if it needs a drawback to it or not, seems like you're gaining a LOT from it

When the card is destroyed, it gains the following effect:

add monster instead of card, or it can be a little confusing at first O:

 

Really good support for Decks when using many mosnters with same name :D

Non-chainable situational response to an opponent's attack that inflicts 1000 damage and Summons any level 4 or lower monster?

 

It's lack of chainable-ness is probably what kills it here. The concept is great, but the card itself just feels a little UP'd.

 

I would try to suggest I change, but I don't think I could without making it into a bit of my own card. I'd make it so that instead of activating it when your opponent attacks, it's just a Normal Trap that activates at any time you have 2 monsters with the same name, to allow it to chain.

Well.. The thing is I wanted it to only activate when the monster is destroyed so it's effect activate's instantly

 

I like that idea, but I'd still try and make it chainable. With the card pool, it takes cards which give an almost certain advantage to be useful as a non-chainable.
