This is my tut on how to make good cards.

For example I will choose this image

Instead of saving it and uploading via a site, just right click the image, at the bottom of the menu that just appeared, it

 

should say something like copy image adress. Just copy and paste that in the picture upload box.

Now we will go onto the next step

This category is about the name, type, attribute and idea for final effect.

 

Finding a good name;

Look at the picture of the card and try pointing out noticeable features, in the one I have chosen, you can see it is in a

 

graveyard, on a foreign alien planet and it is quite big, so this monster is a high level alien giant.

But for names, you can either make something like;

-The Frightening Beast

OR

-Skalashak, the Terrifying Beast

 

However I will choose the name Ladon, which is a greek mythological beast, and put some big scary words on the end

 

For its Attribute, look at the colours, elemental hints, or overall image. this is obviously a DARK monster.

 

Type can be harder, look for wings, swords, fins, fangs, fire, all these can be hints towards types, this card is a mix

 

between a Fiend and beast, but fiends are scarier and more evil, like this image.

 

It will look like this with most of it filled in.

 

[spoiler=Effect, ATK and DEF]

The effect should be based on image and name, try to match the name to the image, and effect to image and name.

 

For example, because of the Graveyard nearby, this would have some reviving effects.

 

Rough OCG plan:

-Special summon from graveyard with level 4 or less

-because of which must skip your next 2 draw phases

-and lose 500 ATK

 

OCG fixed up:

Pay 500 Life Points. Once per turn, during your Main Phase 1, you can Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower monster from your

 

Graveyard, if you do this, skip your next 2 Draw Phases.

 

That's the effect pretty much sorted out

And for the ATK and DEF

Pretty simple this one, make sure its of a worthy balance and is looking appropriate for the card, don't OP or UP. A list of

 

average ATK and DEF stats.

1 : 300

2 : 600

3 : 1400

4 : 1800

5-6 : 2300

7-8 : 2800

9 : 3000

10+ : 4000

 

*there are exceptions to monster with higher ATK and DEF, but these often require huge tributes or costs, like "5 Header

 

Dragon"

The highest original ATK i have seen on a card is 5000

remember if a card has a certain Effect or has a Stat that is considerably high, lower the other drastically, eg:

ATK: 0 DEF:2200

ATK:1900 DEF: 0

ATK: 3000 DEF: 100

 

This card, because it loses 500 ATK, should have a considerably high original ATK, but not too high to still give it an

 

advantage, lets say 2800. Its DEF should be a lot lower because of the effect and its mainly an attacking monster. so about

 

300.

 

 

Tada a finished card. Once after a While you will make better cards.

The problem with the card us its not a Gemini but a Normal Card since it has no effect

Second Guardian isnt a Type

And 3rd it should have 6 stars and maybe be Sea Serpent Type

The picture is pretty good that you found

This is what I would do

Name : Maybe make it more Watery name

Level : 6 if your keeping the attack and deffence the same

Its type should be Sea Serpent/Effect

Effect could be :

Once per turn, you can discard 2 cards from your hand to add 1 WATER monster from your Deck to your hand.

Its ok my first cards were even worse you just need practise.

Just keep on making cards and you will become better

Set ID its like the Sets name

You see just Beside the word LIMITED EDITION on this card

Well thats it

It could be the sets name like the MMUD Stands for Machine Maybe Ultimate Deck

An after MMUD it sais EN001

Thats just to make the sets card number like EN002 EN003 and so on.

Anyways, as for the card-it'll be meaning the same thing-as this.

 

The other one... LV 6 would balance it. And the name can be...better, you know.

 

Overall, with newby bonus, 7/10. Good for a newby.
