The Demon Lord Posted January 31, 2010 Report Share Posted January 31, 2010 Well, most of you are probably too young to remember an old, old anime called Uchuu Senkan Yamato (Space Battleship Yamato), but last month, the Yamato was resurrected in the form of Space Battleship Yamato: Rebirth and later this year, a live-action movie for the Yamato will be premiering. So, I decided to throw in my own 2 cents with a card variant.Edit: Old picture of Yamato has been deleted. [spoiler=Monsters (1)][spoiler=Lore]This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by having 4 or more Machine-Type monsters in your Graveyard. This card cannot be targeted by the effects of Spell and Trap Cards. When this card attacks a monster, by removing from play 2 Machine-Type monsters in your Graveyard, you can destroy the monster immediately with this card's effect without applying damage calculation or flipping it face-up (If attack target was face-down). [spoiler=Spells (1)]Note: In no ways related to the Yu-Gi-Oh card "Wave Motion Cannon". This is merely the name of the Yamato's main gun.[spoiler=Lore]Activate only while you control a face-up "Space Battleship Yamato". Destroy all cards in one column on your opponent's side of the field. "Space Battleship Yamato" cannot attack the turn you activate this card. [spoiler=Traps (2)][spoiler=Lore]Activate only when your opponent declares an attack in which the resulting Battle Damage would reduce your Life Points to 0. Negate the attack, then Special Summon 1 "Space Battleship Yamato" from your hand, Deck or Graveyard, ignoring Summoning conditions. Then, you can send up to 3 Machine-Type monster from your Deck to your Graveyard. This card's activation cannot be negated. [spoiler=Lore]Activate only when "Space Battleship Yamato" would be removed from the field by your opponent's card effect or by battle. Tribute 1 "Space Battleship Yamato" you control to negate the effect or attack of the card and destroy it. When "Space Battleship Yamato" is Tributed for this card's effect, you can Special Summon it to your side of the field during your next Standyby Phase.
