Who said card advantage was good? [NEW CARDS ADDED]

Not me. Which is why I made these. I was inspired by the idea for a single I made recently, I figured it could be made into a working archetype and concept.

 

|Ensenada the Slave|1|TWNS|Warrior/Effect|Earth|1||200|100|This card can be Special Summoned from your hand. When this card is Summoned, your opponent draws 2 cards, then you select 1 card from their hand and discard it.|

 

|Colas the Slave|2TWNS|Warrior/Tuner|Earth|2||600|400|This card can be Special Summoned from your hand if you have less cards in your hand than your opponent. When this card is used for a Synchro Summon, you can select 1 card on the field and return it to it's owners hand.|

 

|Versul the Peasant|3|TWNS|Warrior/Effect|Earth|3||1100|800|This card can be Special Summoned from your hand if you have less cards in your hand than your opponent. When this card is destroyed by battle, select up to 2 cards in your hand and return them to the top your Deck.|

 

|Ranaj the Peasant|4|TWNS|Warrior/Effect|Earth|4||1700|1200|This card can be Special Summoned from your hand if this is the only card in your hand. When this card is Summoned, both players draw 2 cards. If you and your opponent have the same amount of cards in your hands after activating this effect, your opponent draws 1 more card. The additional drawn card cannot be used during the rest of the Duel.|

 

|Cakor the Townsman|5|TWNS|Warrior/Effect|Earth|5||2400|1900|This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned from your hand if you and your opponent have the same amount of cards in your hands. When this card is Summoned this way, add your hand to your Deck, and select 3 cards in your Graveyard, and add them to your Deck. Then draw cards until you have 1 less card in your hand than your opponent.|

 

|Vilna the Townswoman|6|TWNS|Warrior/Effect|Earth|5||2400|1900|This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned if you and your opponent both control 2 or less Spell or Trap Cards. When this card is Summoned this way, you can return up to 3 cards from your hand to your Deck, then search your Deck for up to 2 cards and add them to your hand.|

 

|Kasheik the Major|7|TWNS|Warrior/Effect|Earth|8||3200|2600|This card can be Special Summoned from your hand when your opponent has 4 or more cards in their hand. If this card is Special Summoned by this effect during the 1st Turn, halve its ATK and DEF. Once per turn, you can pay 600 Life Points to select 1 Card in your opponents hand, and add it to your Deck. The Deck is then shuffled.|

 

|Strike!|8|TWNS|Spell Card|Spell|||||While this card is on the field, your opponent cannot attack. Once per turn, during your Standby Phase, pick up the top card of your Deck, and show it to your opponent. If it is a Level 3 or lower Monster Card, Special Summon it to your side of the field. During your opponents next End Phase, your opponent Draws 1 card and this card is sent to the Graveyard.|

 

|Advantage in Numbers|9|TWNS|Spell Card|Spell||Equip|||This card can only be equipped to a monster with 1500 or less ATK. Increase the ATK of the equipped monster by 200 for each "Slave", "Peasant", "Townsman", "Townswoman" and "Major" monster you control. The equipped monster inflicts Piercing Damage.|

That makes up for it a little, but not a lot.

This card... wow. Why would you want to do that?

That card they draw could be a great card like JD, but that's if they don't draw iot with the other effect first.

Great PoA effect.

 

I don't understand why you made these. What are they supposed to do? Oh well; 7/10.

cool concept. now that you have cards that help you have less cards in your hand than your opponent, how about some cards that actually utilize that situation. like if you have less cards in your hand than your opponent, you can inflict damage times the difference, or something like that

Exactly. Your Archetype here is half an idea. How's about the other half?

I love this concept. I wish I had thought about this...

 

one natural thing this archetype can do is force your opponent to draw cards while not allowing them to use them, with cards containing effects like:

...when you have less cards in your hand than your opponent, your opponent cannot activate or Set Spell Cards...

or like Cakor the Townsman's which simply ban that card from being used

 

so your opponent will ends up with a bunch of cards on their hand, can you can use cards like Heavy Slump and Bubble Crash

 

Since giving opponent hand advantage is a serious matter, it should be ok for these cards to be a little OP'ed
