And so you commend Frunk for standing up for a broken system instead of standing against it like we did? The logic fails me...

 

At the time, no better system was known. You guys just flamed and trolled people, and that wasn't appreciated then, and shouldn't be now either. The annoying thing was that they then attempted to claim their innocence on the matter and say that Frunk was the unjust one.

 

We did neither. Again, your definition of trolling/flaming and my definition are at odds with each other.

 

Those in that thread did so, easily. HORUS was no better at all and relied on Frunk to be bias too, which was stupid.

 

Flaming = insulting another user, "you're an idiot", "you're a dumbass", etc.

Trolling = posting in invoke a negative reaction from another user, "you're stupid and your TCG opinion is also" (this is why the two usually come together)

 

I don't see how these are at odds.

 

Saying that the person is stupid because you disagree with that person is flaming. Saying that the person's opinion is stupid because you disagree or because their opinion isn't based in what is generally recognized as being the source of a good opinion is not flaming the person. Calling someone dense or stupid because they repeatedly posted the same thing over and over again even after it had been refuted AND claiming not to have read the thread isn't flaming, it's truth. Shades of grey, my friend. No situation is clear cut.

 

Uh, saying the person is stupid for that opinion is flaming, so your opinion is also shades of grey. Either way, no situation is clear cut, I thought that was a given. Though I honestly think we should stop with the generalization and start being more specific. At the same time, we should probably take it out of this thread before Pikachu murders us.

I never said that the person was stupid for that opinion, I said that person's opinion was stupid. An important distinction. And I'm pretty much done here, so unless you want to respond, we'll just let it be at that.

YCMaker PM'd me about it telling me some info I needed, and was looking at the thread every time I saw him on. I think that qualifies a lot more as- Leo getting some posts, for instance.

 

And... goddamnit. x_x Ruby's Graphic Competitions was accepted in the same thread, and Intro's post count got removed (this was later reversed). I'll go find it.
