Rant + Poem + Beatles = ???

So yeah, we had to do a one-page quick write in English today, analyzing culture, and then adding additional analysis after watching an interview with Richard Rodriguez.

Here is how mine ended up:

First third: A long metaphysical rant on the nature of culture.

Second third: Poem about the nature of culture in relation to the human ego.

Final third: Extended metaphor to "I am the Walrus", and through the Looking Glass.

 

Anyway, discuss times when things don't come out the way you expect.
