Rainbow Dragon Turbo V1.0

Its not really a deck, its more of a stupid idea my and my friends came up with when we were bored :). It focuses on summoning RainDra during my opponents End Phase with Rainbow Gravity, activate its effect to clear the field, chain RftDD and attack with ma Crystals for Game.

2/3 Rainbow Dragon

Only running 2 cuz it can be summoned from the Graveyard with Gravity

3 Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus

3's a staple in Crystal Beasts

2 Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger

2 Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle

2 Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat

2 Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth

2 Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle

2 Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise

I'm running all the other Crystals in 2's because it will get inconsistent to only run 1 Crystal each.

1 Card Trooper

Mills and gives this deck more draw power witch it defiantly needs .

2 Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter

Mills and destroys stuff.

1/2 Magical Merchant

Not sure on the amout, but adds some draw power and mills aswell

0/2 Lyla, Lightsworn Sorcererss

Not sure I would run this, but its a good card, and if I'll make it with a LS engine this would be part of it.

0/1 Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner

If I choose to run it with Ls, I'll run 1.

1 Sangan

Staple.

0/1 Mask of Darkness

Not sure about this, but it can bring back milled Gravity's and RftDD's.

Spells:

1/2 Rare Value

Gives this deck more Draw Power, but can be a dead draw very often. Thats because this deck doesn't focus on keeping ma backfield full with Crystals, it gets em in the Graveyard faster.

2 Gold Sarcophagus

Nets me the cards I need like Gravity or RftDD

1/2 Crystal Beacon

Gets me a Crystal, but can be dead alot too. Not sure on the amount.

0/1 Crystal Promise

Iffy on this. Pegasus can turn this into a +1 and an extra Crystal for RainDra, but other than that it just doesn't do the trick.

0/1 Foolish Burial

A -1, but it gets me an extra Crystal. Probably not going to run this.

0/1 Monster Gate

0/1 Reasoning

Adds speed and mills stuff. Downside is that it only mills s/t's witch can't do very much in the Graveyard.

0/3 Charge of the Light Brigade

0/3 Solar Recharge

I don't really know if I'm going to run the LS engine.

The reason the spell lineup doesn't contain a lot of CB staples like Rainbow Ruins and Blessing is that this deck doesn't focus on your backfield, like other decks. It focuses on getting RD out a quickly as possible and then a RftDD for game.

Then, the Traps:

3 Rainbow Gravity

Mandatory to bring out Rainbow Dragon in your opponents End Phase so you can activate its effect during your turn.

1 Return from the Different Dimension

OTKs with Rainbow Dragon

0/1 Solemn Judgement

0/1 Torrential Tribute

0/1 Mirror Force

I'm not sure about running the staple traps, cuz I want to mill stuff to the Grave to summon a RD quickly and these don't really help cuz their dead in the grave anyway.

It's more like a rough sketch, but I would like some tips to improve this.

A] "A "Rainbow Dragon" or "Rainbow Dark Dragon" in the Graveyard that was not first properly Special Summoned cannot be Special Summoned with "Rainbow Gravity".[1]"

B] Activate Rainbow Dragon's field clearing effect -> Chain Return from the Different Dimension. Return from the Different Dimension puts monsters on the field, Rainbow Dragon's effect resolves and kicks their balls back into the deck.

Learn how chaining works, then get back to the game. Try again, kid.

yup. this is true. gravity only brings it from the deck or grave on the Ignoring of the summoning conditions. it's the same basic concept or level modulation. It ignores the summoning conditions of the LV monster (like Horus 8 or Armed 7 and 10) but they had to hit the field first. And, if they were solemned remember this. they never hit field so level mod wouldnt work, or in your case, gravity.

and its pretty much on the second statement, i got the same response.

if you want a more effective CB deck. do not run the LS engine. do not run Return from D.D. do not run monster gate. keep your rainbow dragons at 2 and run topaz at 3 as well as mammoth (his effect owns, especially with crystal release on him.)

skip out on solemn judgement, the most you're going to do is waste it on a synchro monster (like Brionac or Stardust) so, your better off running 2/3 Black Horn of Heaven.

crystal promise and crystal beacon are a mandatory 3 each in a CB deck if you want to get as many monsters out as you can for Rainbow. and run 2/3 blessing with 2 ruins.

you absolutely DO NOT! want to mill from a CB deck. once you ditch rainbow dragon. He's gone (unless you run Monster Reincarnation). this means goodbye to card trooper.

Sangan is not needed in this deck. he only slows down brining out rainbow dragon. he's 1 less CB

May I suggest running 2/3 Hamon? this way you have a better chance of brining out a 4k attack monster from your deck.

With your torrential tribute, unless you have rainbow ruins down... only fill up 4/5 of your s/t zone. trust me. i accidently locked myself down filling all 5 once.

reduce gravity to 2

add some crystal release (you cant rely on rainbow dragon. the CB's have proven to be more effective on their own than using Rainbow Dragon for buckup.)

Crystal Abundance is NEEDED! a CB OTK is Beautiful without the aid of Rainbow Dragon.

Crystal Blessing (to aid in an abundance play.... or a possible Hamon summoning... if you add him.)

ok im starting to rant now. so this is about what can be done to fix things up >.>

Well, I thought I could summon a Rainbow Dragon in the Graveyard with Gravity, because Rainbow Gravity said "ignoring the summoning conditions". Too bad then. On the RftDD part, well, when one of my friends chained RftDD to Torrential, the new summoned monsters wouldn't get destroyed. Or the judge was wrong or Rainbow Dragon is different in rulings than TT.

@Skribbletron: You didn't get the point of ma deck. Its supposed to mill all my Crystals to bring out Rainbow Dragon quickly, thats why its called a Rainbow Dragon Turbo deck. I already have an Abundance OTK deck and a Rainbow Ruins control deck, I just wanted to try something new with the Crystal Beasts. They're my favorite decktype after all.

you aren't the only one who has CB's as a favorite archtype ;)

here's what i see wrong with it, you say you want to mill your CB's into the grave for RD, that i get, but one major problem....

No Hand Destruction? if you're running RD i find this a staple, discard 2 draw 2, and since you get to pick you won't have to worry about milling the wrong cards or stuff you already have in the grave. i also see no Morphing Jar or Card Destruction.

There are Crystal Sworn builds that work and allow a quick Rainbow Dragon, but they never work becuase they ALWAYS mill RD, then you're stuck with weak LS's and a few CB's that were left over.

Milling is too risky in this case, the only LS i suggest in here is Ryko, other than that no LS's. Use a discard method or Foolish to prepare for RD, it's safer and sometimes even quicker, and don't run doubles of all the CB's, run Eagle and Tortise at 1, if you count you're monsters you have over 20, and that's a no no.

Morphing Jar (for hand replenishment), Monk (for quick Pegasus), Hand Destruction (quick CB discard), Card Destruction (more quick CB discard)

and the only traps you'll really need are 2 Gravity, 1 Torrental, and 1 Dustshoot

I used to run RD and know all the tricks, he actually sucks real bad so you're wasting your time, but if this is for fun and you want to use him anyway, then follow these tips and good luck

Ok, I'll add a MJar and Hand and Card Destruction. One of my friends suggested running The Transmigration Prophercy to send the Rainbow Dragons back to summon them with Gravity. I don't really like Trap Dustshoot. I just can't draw it early game :(

I know that Rainbow Dragon sucks, I just wanted to make it at least a bit runnable
