Don't take bran2939's advice. What type of "defensive" deck do you want? There are hundreds of different kinds.

If most of your monsters, or all of them are usually in defense position during a duel,

I suggest using Defense Mind. It's a little annoying if you are actually attacking your

opponent, but if you want them to attack you and use Thousand Needles to destroy

their monster or Stone Statue of the Aztecs to cause major damage.

 

If you're going for a return to hand deck where you clear their field immedietly

for a direct attack I would add in another Guardian Sphinx, Jujitsu Master, etc.

Initially I tried to find a golden mean between protective monsters, counterattacks and level up monsters, tried to stretch time with benefit for me, but if it is necessary to choose between all it, then I would try counterattacking strategy. %)

Using cards from the list set forth above. I do not know how much card returning effect in a hand it is effective, but with your help it is possible to make a brilliant from most bad deck. :P

Well, if it's only using cards from the list above, there's only 40 cards so I can't really change it around using just those. And my decks are normally control or aggro so I'm not familiar with the type of deck you want help with. I could go find a more experienced deck builder if you'd like.

Your deck is worse than Waveox's deck. If he wants a good deck, he needs help from peoples that are good at building decks. And I wasn't saying my advice is the only advice that matters, I was saying that your advice wasn't good.

You've got good cards mixed with mediorce and crap cards.

But it also gives your opponent a lot of hand advantage over you. It would only be good if it didn't have an effect. And I suggest you remove those 3 negative reps or I'll contact a mod and have him remove them (and possibly you.)

 

EDIT: 3 of my negatives are removed (even though 1 was the wrong one which means one of yours was kept inplace of the one that was accidently removed) but I'm back up to wear I was before you neg repped me. I suggest not doing it again.

If you wanna go for Countdown, there are several possibilities...

 

-Noobdown relies on high defence vanillas and Justi-Break, using Common Charity as Draw Power, and Skill Drain as anti-meta.

-Cuntdown relies on Wall of Illusion, Legendary Jujitsu Master and Penguin Soldier, and uses Continuous Stall to force the opponent to use his/her S/T destruction. You can use Reaper or Marshmallon likewise.

-King's Countdown uses Dark Monsters, mainly Wall of Illusion, Dekoichi, Sangan, Mask of Darkness, Spirit Reaper, Tomato and Giant Germ. Allure is for Draw Power.

-Neo-Countdown (version 7.0: Zekucybaf) uses only 4 kinds of monsters: Zero Gardna, Winged Kuriboh, Cyber Valley and Battle Fader. The Japs try to use Golden Ladybug in it, because they fail due to not having me. This version is the newest, fastest version of Countdown. It's main weakness is that it uses 1-for-1 Stall Cards, and therefore doesn't have any hand advantage late-game. I believe that that's the reason Card of Sanctity would be acceptable in it, for it would act as Pot of Greed if it's the only card you've got. Because this Decktype is new, there are still flaws in it which I'm trying to fix.

It is necessary to focus attention on one of strategy. It is not obligatory to use my style of game as a basis, it would be very interesting to me to listen your opinion on deck change, addition and exception of cards in it.

 

If to speak fairly, idea of a victory by means of spells to me not too involves. Dark Snake Syndrome card was mostly for place filling in a deck, than any significant replenishment. :shock:

It's nice to see someone with so few posts open like this.

 

Anyway, Waveox, one of the most important parts of dueling is finding a deck strategy you like so that you have fun while playing instead of hating playing the deck each time. Which is why there are so many types of decks.

 

We can stick with your deck choice if you'd like, or you can choose a new decktype to use. I'll post some links for you to look through whenever you want to.
