Custom Specialty Decks

NOTICE

 

I have removed my decks because everyone said they sucked. And, I admit, I hadn't read the rules of the deck posting portion of this website, and broke how many rules already? Although I will be reluctant to taking my decks apart, I will do it and hope for the best from you guys. Thankyou.

 

Anyways, I will have a list of all of my cards and host a "Deck making competition", hopefully up by the end of tomorrow.

oh wow.

first, know the ban list. You need to make your deck following it. such as, Pot of Greed banned, so you can't have it in any deck.

Second, choose a real deck type. Decks need to try to accomplish one thing, not a bunch of different things.

In case you never heard of yugioh wikia, it's a site where you can learn virtually anything. Now learn the banlist, decide what kind of deck you want, and then make one. Post whatever you make here, than you can get deck critiques.

They all suck. "All-purpose" is random, "Dragons" has useless dragons, and I don't get "Psychic/Mixed."

For first one: Pick a theme. How dare you abuse the creator like this?

For second one: Pick a type of dragon deck. Do you want Five-Headed, Blue Eyes, or red-eyes?

For the third one: eeeh.. Don't mix too many themes together. It will turn out bad for you.

I make those decks so I am always prepared for whatever deck someone throws at me.I have tried them out, and they actually aren't half bad. The first one is basically "toying" with my foe,trying to make the duel last a long time. the Dragon one is basically using the effects of the really weak dragons to bring out powerhouses, and the third one is for subduing the enemy into a state of confidence then surprisingly, I guess, coming back with one or two cards. And besides, I just don't have that many good cards that I can use. For example, one of the best cards I have is part of a set that needs to be completed for it to be useful. Like the Cloudians.

-I also have a pretty kick-ass Zombie deck.

Oh yeah, one more thing. My brother uses the Water Structure deck , the one with Neo Dedaeleus; I haven't beaten it just because of some retarded card effect that ends up killing me in a small amount of turns. If you have any tips on beating it, I would very much enjoy hearing what you have to say.

I'm telling you your decks won't last against a tier 1, 2, or 3 decks. I'm telling you to look for other better examples of it.

 

For your brother, Play skill drain deck. That should stop him from doing that.

1.By abuse, do you mean putting it in a "Bad" deck, or using it twice in different decks?

2.I have tried the current state of the deck, and they mash up together perfectly fine.

3.I do that mainly because If there is one strategy that I can't fulfill, I have another right up my sleeve. And besides, cards like that usually piss people off. =D

I have a pimped out Earth deck w/ Skill Drain. And I also have a pimped out Fire, Wind, and "one deck that is designed for removing cards from play" deck.

The three decks are illegal, and the third has Thought Ruler in the Main Deck as opposed to the Extra Deck. What?

 

Also, you have broken section rules by not placing a number count for the spells, traps and Monsters in each deck. For all we know, you may be breaking another rule by having >50 cards.

 

My advice is to pick one, and we could help to fix it to something mildly decent (not at the low level of these - as you seem to think these are decent), and make it 40 cards, no more - no less.

Well, I don't really feel like tearing apart all of my decks and then making a new one. I also don't exactly have the resources to get newer cards. I also have a tough time making small decks that are really effective. I would really enjoy it if you could give me something to build my decks around, as I have no idea what is going on right now. Ok, I know I said that any criticism would be nice, but I didn't mean criticism that would make me feal like sheet.

To build a good deck, you need multiples of nearly every non-Limited card in the deck. It would be helpful if you could list those.

 

Or, you could do what I did when I only had bad decks, you could take your time to list every single card you own and run a deckbuilding competition.

Don't worry, there are ways to easily have a deck built from even total randomness.

 

If all else fails, you could design a ridiculously inexpensive deck and try to get it in the future ($20 should be able to get someone Frogs or Final Countdown, for instance).

Well, let me just say that it's refreshing to see a new member admit his mistakes when not reading the rules is applied. Good luck to you in your future deck posting endeavors.
