This card cannot be Special Summoned from your hand or deck, except by Tributing 1 "Dark Paladin" from your side of the field and discarding 1 "Assault Mode Activate" from your hand. This card is unaffected by the effects of Spell , Trap, and Monster cards. Once a turn you may declare 1 Attribute. This card gains 500 ATK for each monster on the field of that Attribute. See:And I know it's overpowered, but with how hard it is to get out, it's definately balanced in my opinion! In my DP deck, I have two polymerizations, three Dark Magicians, two Buster Bladers, and three eack of Skilled Dark and White magician. You would think Dark Paladin would be easier to summon, BUT IT'S NOT. If you can pull off getting this card out without first getting your booty whupped, then you deserve to have an OP'd card! jabber2033 Posted February 14, 2010 Report Share Posted February 14, 2010 Nice. The only way it can be destroyed is by battle. Even stuff like JD and DAD can't destroy it. A little overpowered, but not too much. I'd change it to something like "You can discard 1 card to negate the effect of a Spell, Trap, or monster and destroy that card." That gives it a bit of a downside. 9/10, otherwise. And for those who said the orginial Dark Paladin is hard to get out, it's not. I run an IRL Dark Paladin deck. It uses 3x DM, 3x BB, and 3x Poly, along with a bunch of Fusion-Material subs like Dark Hex and King of the Swamp. I usually get it out on my first few turns. That's what I was going for! And also, my friend runs a fiend deck with all of the wicked gods and tregoedia, raviel, etc. and I just need something that'll give my spllcasters an upper hand!BTW, thanks Necro Phoenix for the OCG fix, I'll edit that ASAP! So untill they make a Dark Palidin synchro monster this is wrong. And if it is a assault/mode it has to be like one. you dont tribute a monster in order to summon one and you dont discard Assault Mode Active. Pic is good. Overused. Good for the card though. That's why it doesn't say: This card can only be special summoned by the effect of "Assault Mode Activate" It says you NEED assault mode activate, but at the same time, it doesn't need to be s synchro, and thanks for the idea, now Imma gonna go and make a DP synchro! If its unaffected by all monster effects, its effect would be void. Edit it to "other monster cards". Picture looks pretty good. Its also extremely OP. It has an effect to increase its ATK, and is completely unaffected by all other cards. so unless you summon an extremely powerful monster, its impossible to destroy. It you target DARK monsters, it gains 500 points for itself so its base atk is practically 3400 and not much monsters can top that. 7/10 for now. With today's RFP, Lightsworns, and Meta decks, Dark Magician and co. have taken a backseat, especially with the wicked gods, raviel & etc. and ultra powerful fiends, so I figured that all the cool monsters I grew up with need a MAJOR boost! So I'm making as many awesome DM monsters and supports that I can! I mean, have you ever fought the Wicked Eraser, Wicked Avatar, and Raviel, Lord of Phantasms, all on the field, all AT THE SAME TIME?!? IT'S HORRIBLE!! And DON'T tell me I'm not imaginative. Watch this; You say that it is a Dark Paladin based on an Assault Mode concept. What do the rest of the Assault Modes have? Homage to the original card's effect only beefed up. For Dark Paladin it's a Magician and a Dragon Killer. That Magician of which is generally versatile in its many incarnations, and a Dragon Killer purely based on extreme ATK gain with other dragons. Now lets look at your favored card. It's an Spell Negator with Buster Blader's ATK Boost. Now this card. You made it from a Dragon Slayer Negator, to an S/T Immune Attribute Destroyer? How does that make sense? The route here would be an effect that increases it's Spell Negation to something better (not just targetting itself), and some kind of Type Destroyer. You want to tell me I have no imagination?
