Jason nodded, holding Dominique close. I never could have imagined such bloodshed possible...even considering my own past. One out of every three people killed...that's terrible. Jason gripped Dominique, and clenched his fist, tightening his grasp around her shoulder. She's right, and all the others are right; whatever happens, we cannot let another such war as that of the 'Black Plague' break out. With the current population of the world, that would surely mean doom for anyone who did not flee. "How...how did we-the Foedus-keep such a war secret?"

[Premier Alexander Romanov]

"Simple. With the help of the nobles and the Church working together, along with their new vampire and werewolf allies, the Foedus simply collected all written testaments of the war, had other people rewrite what the Foedus wanted, a.k.a. a plague, and gave everyone a reward, usually in gold, for telling their kids about the plague."

"They completely rewrote human history in the biggest coverup since the hiding of the Holy Grail."

Dominique sighed, and explained.

"Yes, the Holy Grail is real. It's in an island monestary in Ethiopia. But it's just a very old wodden cup. Nothing really special about it other than the fact that everyone thinks it's a holy relic, but that's exactly what the Church wanted people to think."

"Anyways, want me to continue with the history of the Foedus Cruorem?"

Kira was getting very impatient with waiting for them to answer him he didnt want to fight but this was getting pretty outrageous, "Well if nobody is going to answer me then I will just come in without being invited!" yelled Kira so they could hear him. 'Seriously are they going to have me wait here forever?!' thought Kira

 

>Taiga<

 

"Are you going to let me bathe and change my clothes or what?!" demanded Taiga who was getting annoyed and fast.

[Premier Alexander Romanov]

"No."

Alexandre walks into the dark room, which has only one light above Taiga's cage.

"We intend to keep you here for a while due to your behavior towards my beloved daughter. Honestly, blackmail? Is THIS what the mighty werewolf race has been reduced to? It makes me sad to have some of your blood as part of mine."

 

Meanwhile, an average-looking man with brown hair, blue eyes, and glasses walked up to Toua.

"Come with me, sir."

"Blackmail you make me laugh the only thing I wanted was for your daughter to give me something in return for me getting her off the hook for killing a human, so basically it was bribery and I would never resort to blackmail its deplorable, but if your not going to let me go can you atleast give me a change of clothes?" replied Taiga

"Okay..." said Kira as he followed the man hoping to get somewhere at last, since so far he had not gotten very far.

The man took him into a back alley, then several somethings hit Toua in the neck, causing him to become dizzy and drowsy...

The man dialed a number on his cell phone. "Alex, this is Thomas. We've got a complete set now."

 

Alexandre got the message, then hung up.

"Sure. You will want to look decent for the arrival of your brother. He's now in the same position as you."

"Actually he is not in the same situation as me even if you lock him up you cant control him and you will just make him your enemy and do me a favor dont awaken him because if that happens we are all doomed, because nobody can control him or fight him if he awakens, and when he returns to normal he will torture himself again, so if you value you and everyone here's lives, then you will not look down on him and treat him wrong because I am the only one who knows what happened to him since I am him in a sense and not his sister, I am a clone of him with slightly altered DNA so we are like siblings but you have not seen what he has or been through what he has, being used to start wars being used as a bio-weapon you have not experienced that have you?" she said to Alexandre, "And can you serve him some tea it always helps to calm him down?" she asked while she knew it would help keep him from losing control.

A few minutes later, several men in black suits wheeled a cage with Toua inside of it into the room. A light turned on next to Taiga's cage, and the cage Toua was in sank into a receptacle on the floor, allowing it to be locked into the fllor like Taiga's cage.

Alexandre snapped his fingers, and several attendants brought out some food and clothes for the caged twins, as well as a pitcher of tea within reach of Toua's cage.

"If you two need anything, just holler, and someone will come. Just don't try to escape. The bars are spread wide enough so that you can reach out, but they are electrofied with enough of a voltage to knock you unconscious. Furthermore, they are reinfocred with titanium, making them very hard for you to get through."

"And you have no idea how big this room is, or what else is inside of it besides the two of you."

Alexandre turned and walked into the darkness, disappearing from view.

"Well then you are underestimating him he has the power to bring a whole country to it's knees, but you are right, I stand no chance of getting out but he can easily get out but that is only when he awakens, and if I were to die then the whole world would be doomed I am what ties down his sanity without me he will always remain awakened, and since we are one we can locate each other by a form of telepathy, so that's how he found me so easily..." she explained.

But Taiga's threats fell on deaf ears, since no one answered her. She was left all alone with her unconscious brother.

 

Meanwhile, Alexandre was meeting with Thomas.

"Did you collect the sample?"

Thomas revealed a vial filled with blood.

"Yes, Alex. I extracted it from him while he was unconscious."

Alexandre nodded in approval.

"Good. Send it to the lab. I want to know what makes these very strange werewolves tick."

Jason shook his head in wonderment. So many things I thought I knew. But I am learning more now than I ever did, and in any school. But, of course, I have an amazing teacher. Then, with a sudden resolve, Jason had an idea. No longer will I be held down by a mere poison. The pain he had felt when he stood up was great, but this was now even more. Jason gritted his teeth as a fire seemingly tore through his body. Letting a small growl escape his lips, Jason squeezed the bed rail, and used it to help himself up. With a triumphant laugh, Jason stood, albeit woozily. Then he turned to Dominique.

 

"Please, continue telling me this history."

Dominique cleared her throat.

"Continuing, the werewolves, now free of their vampiric masters, started fighting amongst themselves until the New World was discovered. Many packs went to the Roanoke colony, and started to fight the local zoanthropes, which led to the disappearance and destruction of the colony. Overall, there isn't much to say. The Foedus has mainly existed as a governing body to make sure that the fragile balance between our three races is maintained, and the secret has been kept, but that duty has become strained due to the gradual collapse of the Catholic Church, especially in their main area of worry, North America, here."

Jason heard the strange word, and squinted at Dominique. I've never heard of the word zoantropes before. Let's see...knowing my biology roots, zo- means animal, and -anthrop- means man, so...Animal-men? Would that be like what me and Dominique and that vampire are...?...Ahh, hell, I'll just ask and find out. Jason walked painfully over to Dominique, and set his slightly shaking palm on her shoulder. "What...what is a zoanthrope? I don't think I have ever heard the word being used before, but for some reason, it sounds familiar...as if I'm supposed to know what it means. Do you get what I mean?"

"Well, the technical term for a werewolf is a 'lycanthrope', which almost literally means 'wolf man', so, logically, zoanthropes mean 'animal men'. This term is used when you don't want to ist the various types of werecreatures, such as werecats, werelizards, werebirds, werefish, and so on and so forth. But werewolves are unique among these other races in the fact that our bite is contagious, whereas the only way you can catch another form of zoanthropy is through either a special ritual or having unprotected sex with a zoanthrope. Of course, the same applies to werewolves too!"

Jason laughed as he listened to Dominique's words. After a minute, he stopped laughing, and winced. Standing is harder than I thought; this poison sure is potent. With a small cough, Jason looked into Dominique's eyes. "So...now what do we need to do? You've told me the history of bloody wars, classified secrets, and so much more. But now...how...how are we going to use that knowledge? What are we going to do now that we know the truth of our history? Just knowing isn't going to get us very much, and it's not much better than not knowing; except, of course, for the fact of learning things."

"Well, not all of the werewolves joined the Foedus. Most of the packs in North America have not signed the charter, meaning that they do not get the usual, direct support of the organization. The Foedus usually has to covertly intervene with these packs, which is what they tried to do with our pack. I promise, I was unaware of this organization until a few days ago. But Daddy did tell me that he planned on approaching me with the secret and wanted me to become the new Alpha Female to get the Blackclaws to sign."

"But, as you know, there are werewolves who consume human flesh. The Foedus knows of this, and they are worried that another Black War might erupt if their populations get too high. Fortunately, the Foedus has always been able to control the Dark Packs, until recently."

"Did you hear in the news a few weeks ago about how terrorists firebombed a bank building in New York?"

Jason nodded. "Yeah...let me guess. That wasn't terrorists?" ...Cuz if not, then these guys are just way too damn good at keeping quiet. It's kind of eery, once you stop and think about it. Shuddering, Jason walked painfully over to Dominique, and squeezed her shoulders. "If...if it's okay with you," (wince) "I'm gonna go out for a while. I've been shut up inside for way too long, and I need to get out. It feels like it's been ages since I've seen a tree." With another wince, Jason turned and began walking out of the door.

Dominique caught up with Jason. "No, it wasn't. A similar attack to what happened to the Quebec installation hit the main New York office hard."

She sighed, and turned to him, hugging him tightly.

"The Dark Pack is systematically hitting the Foedus on our home front, something they have never done before. And they're hitting the Foedus hard."

She sobbed into his shoulder.

"Daddy's not showing it, but I can smell his fear. I've never smelled fear on him before. And I'm scared too. What if they find us? What if I give in? A part of me wants to run away from you and join them, and a more rational part of me agrees, well, to at least to become a double agent that is."

Jason held her, ignoring the fire that raged through his body. "Don't worry. I know that, even though you may have changed a little, you will always be Dominique. I know you; you won't give in to this. You'll fight, and you'll win. Just as we will win, the Foedus, the Blackclaws, maybe even the Fangs. All you have to do is have faith; believe! If you do not believe, or trust, then we are doomed. But if you, and I, and everyone else can just believe in their actions, then we just may have a chance of preventing the coming war, if not winning it."

Dominique helped her love to the elevator, knowing that they now knew each other's secrets.

"Well, let's get you down to the park before sunset. A bit of moonlight will get you moving again."

She opened the elevator, and the couple went down to the ground floor, only to be met by Tanya, although she stunk to high heaven with something...

"I've been assigned by your father to serve as a bodyguard and aide until you get better. And don't worry about me! I've got on UV-gel on! It smells really bad to anything supernatural, but humans aren't as developed, and therefore can't smell how repulsive I currently am. But it's a sacrifice to feel the sun on your skin again..."

Jason grunted. "I don't need a bodyguard. I am a werewolf...I can take care of myself. And yes, Tanya, right now you smell absolutely repulsive...no offense, of course." As they neared the door to the building, Jason turned his head up, and looked out at the sun. Its glare reflected off a window after a minute, and he had to put a hand up to block the light. As he reached the front door, he turned back to face his mate...and guard. "Now...I am going out," (wince) "alone. I don't want either of you to follow me. Dominique, I want to be alone for some time. And Tanya...you're hurting my nose."

Jason limped away from Dominique and Tanya. He may have hurt their feelings, but that smell, and the pain that had hold of his body, was really irritating him. He made his way over to a park, and looking around to make sure no one was around, changed into his wolf form. The pain in his body increased by quite a bit, but he didn't care. As long as he was free, he was going to be free as a wolf. Sniffing, he nodded in satisfaction. No humans were around. Ahh...it's nice to get out. I can just think freely, and I'm not cooped up inside with a bunch of people.

Dominique sighed as she was left out of the walk, but Tanya pointed to the roof. The two of them got into the elevator, and rode all the way to the observation deck, where they used the binoculars to covertly spy on Jason.

"Wow! What a great idea, Tanya!" Dominique commented as she saw her husband stroll into a park.

"No problem. I'll do anything for you as long as I get a bump in my paycheck!" Tanya replied.

Dominique ignored that last part as she resumed watching her fiancee take a leisurely walk.

Jason, now Clawfang, looked around the park as he walked through it, taking in the scents of nature. Suddenly, the pain in his body grew, and he yelped in pain. The poison must be having more of an effect since I'm in my wolf form. I probably don't have too much time, so I'll have to enjoy this time before I have to revert back to my human form. Wincing, he could feel the poison moving through his body, and the injection of the antidote battling against it. Taking a step forward, the pain coursed through him again. God, that poison is painful. I hope I can still have some free time.

Dominique saw Jason stagger and decided to take things into her own hands. She quickly rushed to the elevator, Tanya just behind her, and zipped down as fast she could.

"Tanya, Jason needs an...umm...what do you call a doctor for werewolves?"

"Zooanthropologist?"

"Let's go with that. Where's the nearest one?"

"Toronto."

"Dammit! Well, do you have any more antidote?"

"A little. Why?"

"We're going on a little trip."

They rushed out into the park as the sun's rays started to slip beneath the skyscrapers.

"Jason! Where are you?!?" Dominique cried as she frantically searched for her love.
