Sweet Lightning
[align=center] Effect: When using this card as a Synchro Material Monster, the other Synchro Material Monsters is 1 monster in your hand. The Synchro Monster that used this card as a Synchro Material Monster cannot activate its effects, its effect(s) is negated, and is removed from play when removed from the field. The bolded line is the one drawback I can think of (and the main turnoff). But, like Vayu, it can shortcut Synchro Summons, and since it's Level 3, Eccentric Boy can Synchro Summon almost anything. BulletMan
It negates the Synchros effects. It must be terribleIt makes the Synchro removed when it's removed from the field. shadowferret
I remember I was playing Schrodinger's Format with my friend... Me: *goes first*"I summon Eccentric Boy. Synchro with the Shapesnatch in my hand for Stardust Dragon. Remove Eccentric Boy and Shapesnatch to Special Summon Dark Simorgh. Set three. End. At your Draw Phase, activate Anti-Spell Fragrance and Assault Mode Activate." ....other than that situational... er, situation, I don't see him getting used much. ihop
Vayu, quite frankle is better. For this, you have to tribute a monster and discard a card. For Vayu, all you have to do is remove from play monsters from your graveyard.Kinda situational, but I'd never summon Stardust over Red Dragon Archfiend with this. Guest JoshIcy
RDA and BRD maybe? Since they're basically Vanillas in most cases Ive seen them in. (RDA has that extra plus but seriously meh on its effects unless you can turn their monsters to def, and BRD you'll know if you want the effect or not). Would I use it in a competitive deck? Probably not. Would I use it in a casual Deck? My answer is, Saviors just got faster.
Crimson General
I can only see it in non-competitive Assault Mode Decks.
