a shame that's the only effect it has

 

personally I'd have dropped its atk to 2000 to attack more than once, but then the 500 atk decrease should only last for 1 turn

OK ragnarok, sounds interesting, do you have any suggestions for a second effect? I'm all ears.

2nd effect you can do something like monster recovery. You can say as long as your opponent's LP are higher than yours, then each turn you can return 1 warrior-type monster from your graveyard to your deck, then shuffle your deck
