Internet Explorer is, quite simply, the worst browser in existence. With no support for CSS3, limited support for Javascript and JQuery, and a whole mess of quirks with basic CSS and HTML rendering, it is a nightmare for web development.

It also lacks applications and themes, and has no real reason to use it other than the fact that it comes bundled with Microsoft computers. If Microsoft gets hit with antitrust suits (which it already has had happen, to some degree) and the court ruled that they couldn't bundle Explorer with their computers, then IE usage would drop dramatically.

Now, the problems with IE may change with IE9, which is supposed to be standards compliant, but currently, around 30% of IE users use IE6. It's a massive problem for web developers, and thus Internet Explorer is the worst browser in existence.

I'd laugh if a hacker ruined your life by stealing your money and putting you in massive debt. Talking of simplicity, this thread is about chrome you retard.

firefox > all.

Yes. More specifically, Firefox > Chrome > all.

Not that I'm for IE or anything, but wouldn't this mean we would get computers... without an internet browser? How are we supposed to get on the internet? The only use for IE is downloading a new browser, IMO.

I lol'd at all of those using IE. May you continue to wallow in the hellhole you seem so accustomed to.

Seriously' date=' Internet Explorer is a piece of s***.

Yes sir. Also,

Firefox > Chrome > Safari Opera > Everything else >>>...> IE

Fixed.

I second that. Although IMO Opera is on par with Chrome very, very almost.

very almost.

I love English!

But on topic' date=' is IE used by ANYONE today?

[/quote']

Actually, the majority of internet users today still use Internet Explorer, around 70%, and around 30% of those use IE6.

@Umbra: No idea, but another problem with IE is that if you uninstall it, you remove some core files for Windows computers, which are purposefully created as part of IE so you cannot uninstall it. I think that was the larger problem, because it discourages changing browsers and unfairly influences competition and free markets.
