One of my 12-year-old classmates smell like smoke.

Anyways, I think that it's their choice to smoke and kill themselves. They deserve to die. But for those who don't, it's not fair that the smoke is also inhaled by them. If there's something I'd say about smoking, the governments should create a small room in every city where they smoke that is completely shut off so that the smoke doesn't go out.

I myself never found smocking addicting but that must be me as my friends are =\

Mind you I'm straightedge I just don't see why I can't smoke one if I'm feeling cold.

Dunno if it's interesting enough for you, but by smoking your body cools down faster. =/

If you feel cold and want to warm up by smoking a cigarette, it just causes what you wanted to avoid. Seen in this way, smoking makes you cool. ;I

Most of the men in my family smokes and even my dad's mom smokes. They all have told me it is to hard to quit and my dad has been cutting back (he used to go through a pack a day, but now only goes through them about a week or two). My parents already has this talk with me, they said they hope I don't start smoking, but they know I'll "experiment" (as they put it) with smoking, drinking, and stuff like that. So...yeah.

I actually inhale smoke because I sometimes go outside with my dad when he goes to smoke, but I always stay a great distance away so I don't inhale to much. Most of my family knows the risks of cancer and stuff, but it's hard to stop. Bottom line, smoking is bad, and it is hard to stop when you get hooked.

It was. Especially when the job he had fired him, he started cutting back on smoking. He has even been trying to quit smoking all together, but it's quite difficult.

I find it sort of amusing that all of you think literally everyone who smokes will die. XD

Besides, most of you are saying that people who smoke will die, neigh, deserve to die, Abraham Lincoln enjoyed to smoke his pipe, are you saying he deserves to die? Winston Churchill enjoyed smoking cigars, did he deserve to die? Through my eyes, some of the greatest people known to history have smoked for pleasure, every time you eat fast food you are building up colestrol, to be honest, things like drink and fast foods do you more harm on the whole then smoking does. <3

No, you are right if you are saying everyone will die, I'm talking from the perspective that everyone who smokes will get some sort of disease from it and die from that disease, and I think you knew that. ;D

Yeah, I just love irony.

But still, smoking has some dangers: carbon monoxide and hydrogen cyanide.

But if those harm you, it means something was already wrong.

What's so bad about smoking? Geez' date=' people, have a life and leave smokers alone.

I'll never smoke, but that's not the point. Saying somebody is bad just because he/she smokes is discrimination.

The Topic is about young people smoking not adults they can at their own risk

Never have smoked' date=' never will. =/[/i']

No one can honestly say that until they are at least 22 years old, or around that age. You will be tempted to smoke, and you might have a temptation to do so. So don't rule out smoking. I'm not saying it's a good thing by any means, but if you think it's going to be an easy road by just saying no, you're in for a rude awakening.

I've been asked to smoke marijuana before. =/

I'm not going to suddenly change and fall into peer pressure. Sure, maybe I'll wear that good Sweatshirt instead of a nice, warm Jacket. But I'm not going to do anything that hurts my own body.

I'm not saying you are going to fall under peer pressure. I am not saying you WILL smoke. Hell, I'm even going to say you shouldn't smoke.

But it's not an easy thing. Just sitting down and saying "my mommy told me not to smoke, so I'm not going to" won't really cut it. If you think it will, you are in for a rude awakening, or maybe the area you live in doesn't have smoking as a problem. But where I live, people constantly pressure others to smoke. If it weren't for everyone else doing it, I might have done it (because I like to do the opposite of the norm).

It's a hard thing not to be tempted by cigarettes. I understand where you are coming from, but staying ground into your opinion on this particular topic is... tough.
