Your traps need work. Most of them are outclassed or too situational.

Try something like the following for your trap line-up:

1x Call of the Haunted

1x Mirror Force

1x Torrential Tribute

2x Bottomless Trap Hole (Its semi-limited, so include 2)

2x Threatening Roar/Waboku/Dimensional Prison (your choice)

You also need things that will help bring Sacred Phoenix out. Haven't seen any decks focusing on it, so I don't really know what to include.

Well, my current traps' purpose is to keep my phoenixes from being destroyed by battle. Needle ceiling, gen shift, destruct potion, blast with chain.....they all help. I'm not trying to prevent attacks all that much. lol Thanks for the help, though! I was thinking of replacing my trap hole with a bottomless......heh. I need more of those.

My monsters and spells bring out my phoenixes. :D Just so you know......

Those two sentences contradict themeselves. In order to prevent phoenix from being destroyed BY BATTLE, you have to PREVENT ATTACKS.

Attacking is the only way to destroy things by battle, so...

In Phoenix, destroying all monsters, including Phoenix, is a much better solution than just preventing it from being destroyed by battle...

OP: The deck still needs work... But I love Phoenix, so I will help.

Sorry. What I mean by that is that I "save" my phoenix by saying "Nope, you're not gonna destroy it by batte. I'm gonna blow it up myself." I won't exactly be preventing attacks, but I'll save phoenix from being destroyed by battle.

I agree. That's why I keep torrential, needle ceilings, destruct potion, etc. instead of negate attacks, threatening roars, wabokus, etc. Hmmmm.....I was thinking more like a few better replacements for maybe michizure and my asura priest. I'm thinking of replacing my trap hole with a bottomless, but nowadays, people are summoning weak monsters......I'm not sure. lol Got any ideas?

Threatening Roar?

Trade In?

While trade-in is a good card' date=' I don't want to end up discarding my phoenixes cuz then I'd have to rely on creator or call to bring em back. As for threatening roar, again, it's a good card, but that only stalls me and it won't bring out the best in my phoenixes because I want them destroyed (not by battle but by my own traps). I kind of use them as a threat. lol I believe there's enough stall in my ability to search a lot, plus by searching, I can get hand of nephthys quickly.

Thanks though![hr']

Maybe I should add Deep Diver and take out Asura Priest......hmmmm lol
