Riryoku-Diachi Posted March 8, 2010 Report Share Posted March 8, 2010 Hi all. =D Here I made a few card remakes of monsters and spells that appear in the first season of Yu-Gi-Oh before the "New Rules" of Kaiba's tournament. Here I try to manage an effect on each of these cards that makes what happens in Season 1 make more sense. Post your requests and, if you can, the picture of the card (Not the card itself just the picture inside) because I have trouble finding them sometimes. I will attempt any card though some, (Labrynth Wall) may prove very difficult. Rate and comment. Tell me what you think. ^^ Remember, think back to Season 1 when looking at these cards. I will put a brief description below each card to why it has the effect it does. BLUE-EYES WHITE DRAGON: This one was the first card I created to test my idea so its effect isn't that great. It basically says that it can be summoned (Normal summoned.) from your hand onto the field which explains why Kaiba never tributed to summon it. As you see, this also eliminates his ability to attack directly, which explains why he never did in the first season. (He could have if he tributed but he never did in Season 1.) Idk if it's a little OP but if so remember theres only four of them in the shows existence so this card deserves a little OP. (I never thought Blue-Eyes should have been a normal card.) HARPIE LADY: Second card I made gets a little fancier. As with every monster I will make, it cannot attack directly. Also if you recall in the one episode where Mai dueled Joey Mai's harpie won due to its attribute. This is the only time it is ever shown in the series, and the only time she ever dueled on a mountain terrain, so I placed this effect to balance out why this happened. I could not remember how much of a bonus Harpie got from being a flying creature so I just added an instant kill effect and a 300 lp loss for the opponet to smooth it out as close as I could. ^^ MULTIPLY: I tried not to OP this card but seeing the way it is used in Season 1 you probably will agree that it is difficult not too. You get a Kuriboh Token in all free monster zones during each standby phase, which is kind of a drawback seeing as you cant tribute them and it kills your ability to summon new monsters. This simulates the endless Kuriboh shield that multiplys consistenly in the show. Im not sure if this drawback is good enough to counter the amazing defence it gives from blocking all other creatures from being attacked and not taking battle damage. It would kind of be the perfect stall until you get the cards you needed, and would be god in an Exodia deck. I think its OP but like I said, its hard not to OP this card. Just hope your opponet dosen't have Heavy Storm or Mystical Space Typhoon. TOON WORLD: This one is my absolute favorite of all the cards I have made so far! In a real duel I think it's effect could be balanced as it leaves you open for a direct attack during each of your opponets turns (Simulating the toons going into the book from the show) but is perfect for Season 1 as all of the cards will have the, "Cannot attack directly" effect. This prevents them from being destroyed and even during your turn they cannoy be destroyed or take battle damage. (Such as when Kaibas BEWD attacked Toon BEWD or Yugi attacked the toon.) I still consider it balanced because if you have a few strong cards, your opponet pulls a BEWD or Obelisk or something 3000+ your cards are gonna be in the spell/trap zone and your getting a ton of damage. ^^; Tell me what you think and if I should make more and as I said before, give requests for Season 1 cards. =D Comment/Rate. Its kinda funny that the show its a make of is the same show that has the cards in the first place. ^^ The reason I put it here and not Pop Culture is that I still attempted to keep the cards (Multiply possibly excluded) as balanced as I could while still retaining the Season 1 rules hence it could also go here in the "Realistic Cards" section. ^^ Ugh I feel you though. I would never make some random remake of an already made card. These have a purpose, explaining Season 1 lol.
