玄魔の王
Malefics make me think of a male fanfic writer. YUGIOH 5WS!The oh-so epic fanfic about how duelists write about how 'hansome' Panik is' date=' in addition to dueling eachother for the top writer spot.[/quote'] That's the stupidest idea I've heard in my life, and you're a moron for even thinking of it. Ironically, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5W's does not actually fall under the category in question. Also' date=' did you notice how now they pretty much seem to be censoring cards just because they can?Bad End - Queen Dragon? More like...um...You're Bad...Queen Dragon of Tragic Endings...?Did you want Conspiracy of the Tuning Mentor? Well, you'll have to get the low-format version: Tuner's Scheme.[/quote'] Those seem reasonable to me. Tuner's Scheme is much more concise and has the same effect, and Bad End Queen Dragon just couldn't be translated directly because "Bad End" is a a meaningful phrase in Japan but of no particular significance elsewhere.I didn't know that, actually. Independent of any meaning known only to members of the inner circle of sages (jk), "Bad End" tends one to think of an End/ing that is the opposite of optimal. Also, you're right, those weren't the best examples, but they were the first off the top of my head. What about some of these? Black Feathers to Blackwings, Deformers to Morphtronics (this one I kind of get, actually), Machiners to Machina, and (of course), Demonic Roaring Gods to Fiend Roar Deities to Fabled. Also, I just remembered a card I noticed while looking through cards in the recent packs I've completely missed: Enlightenment. That was Prophecy of a Future King once. The Enlightenment card, if it had kept its original name, would have lead to the destruction of the Konami company at the hands of many religious societies. Even so, they could have changed the name to something just a little bit closer to the original, or just changed the King in the picture so he doesn't look like Saint Nicholas/Older Jesus. On the subject of DEM, watch GX 155. Judai just "happens" to have a card allowing him to control opposing Fusions? Not to mention one that works on the players? werewolfjedi
Deus ex Machina didn't come from the Matrix' date=' it's a phrase used when something out-of-the-blue happens to allow a protagonist to overcome a problem, such as the character suddenly develops a power or technique that allows him to win a fight or a new character is introduced that happens to solve the problem at hand. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deus_ex_machina[/quote'] shouldn't someone modify that so it mentions the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime in the modern uses area. I mean it happened more time than I can count in the first two shows.
