[ZERO] Splices

Aha! I've been waiting months for splices to be popular in showcase again.

 

Even though these are my first few sprites in awhile, I'm quite happy with the outcomes.

 

 

After the Nido/Dragon splice I wanted to go with sort of a Good V. Evil theme to the sprites, taking the "A" pokemon and mixing them with the Antagonist pokemon.

Dragonite+Nidoking was the first sprite I did. I quite like how he turned out as a whole it's mostly a copypasta splice, I believe the only scratching I did was the belly and the uppermost spike on his neck. I do not like his belly at the moment. Probably gonna fix that on some rainy day. I actually think this guy would be a pretty successful Sonic the Hedgehog character. Dragoking the Godzilla would be pretty awesome. Either that or Dragon Tails. I was originally gonna send this sprite to Jappio for his Video Critique, but his most recent video used a Nidoking splice, so this guy would never get picked.

 

The Dusclops/Dragonair used almost all scratching. the hands are the only copy and pasted part in particular. I'm sure somebody somewhere is going to find something wrong with the shading and whatnot. Lines are serious bastards.

 

I used to love the Gardevoir/Banette sprite a lot. Every time I look at it I find something wrong. The Gard/Bane shadings seem to different on the head. Gonna work on that. And the left hand sucks too. Everything is scratched on this sprite, which is why the shading is off so much.

very well put together splices, much better than the crap others around these parts are trying to pass off as good sprites, though the design on Nidonite's underbelly, shouldn't it continue down it's belly some more?

I guess with how badly I sprited the underbelly it should. On Nidoking's sprite his detail implies that he has pecks and a belly flap.

As I said, I hate his belly and need to find time to work on that.

oh I see how it's supposed to be, like the armor plates that are on Nidoking's front torso muscles, yeah to fix that just add outline shaped to what the plates would shape like.

I didn't like the Dragonite one. I think that its face isn't well fitting. :/.

But the Dragonair + Dusclops is epic.

And the Gardevoir one is good.

That's the problem with you spriters, but do you do any housework? no. do you show me that you care? no. do you introduce me to your friends? no.
