So we were playing Jepordy in SS today

A question was "Who is the leader of Buddism"

A student replied "Adolf Hitler"

Discuss epic failure in school

I'm confused. Isn't that the correct answer?

The only thing wrong about the answer is the phrasing. Should've been ''Who is Adolf Hitler?"

Hitler was the leader of Taoism, not Buddhism. While similar, they are still different religions/philosophies.

Oh, I see.

And Confucianism, who was/is the leader of that? Was it that Stalin fellow? I've heard his name all too many times, so I assumed that.

Just today, I'm on the bus, reading Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, and someone asks me "Hey, kid, why are you reading?" I replied with a simple "Because I enjoy it?" and apparently, that was the wrong thing to say.

Two of them called me weird, saying they've never finished a book in their life, and that I was just a show off. Then I ended up accidentally leaving the book on the bus.

God, I hate school buses.

Let them call you weird. You're not out to impress them. Let them be idiots if they so choose. Sucks that you left the book on the bus, though. =(

When I went to school, OH DEAR GOD! SO many idiots that were failing even the 'gimme' classes.
