Saiba Aisu
Hello, everyone. So, anyways, I have recently decided to focus on extending my cardmaking work for my current writing project, Days of the Black Apple. In this case, I decided to give you guys a sneak peak at another of the many Japanese-styled cards cards which will be featured in my current writing project, Days of the Black Apple. This card is one of six signature Spellcasters in the Deck of an important character who has yet to be appear. As always, your comments and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks to Chizuru for providing plenty of inspiration for this card! === Elemental Empress Chiko - Original Image by Zeiva; Edited by Alcander & Saiba Aisu. Elemental Empress ChikoLevel 8EarthSpellcaster-Type/EffectATK 2400 / DEF 2000You can Special Summon this card from your hand by Tributing 2 EARTH monsters on either side of the field. Each time a Spell Card is activated, gain 800 Life Points. Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can destroy 1 monster your opponent controls. This card cannot declare an attack during the turn this effect is activated.

encapturer
hmm.... Good picture, but that's to be expected from what I've seen before. Low attack, but it's relatively easy to get out from the hand and you can blast anything it can't kill with its effect. The spell card lifegain effect seems out of place when placed next to the aggressive nature of the card, but there may be a story behind the card that I'm not seeing. Well, I guess she is an empress after all; some sort of benevolence to whoever she reigns over is to be expected. Or maybe it's just a title, at which point I'm still confused. ..........I like the card, anyway.
Dragon™
The image is wonderful, and I love the Japanese effect. Anyway, this isn't like an OCG card or something? Though somethings bothering me. Where it says you can destroy 'any monster', that could easily take out a DaD or JD, and I say you should limit the destruction to a lower Level and maybe have an LP burn. Otherwise, whenever your opponent gets out a great card w/out a destruction effect that could target this card, you could just insta-smash it, leaving your opponent cornered for a while until they get out one of the Jars or something. Oh also: tributing = Tributing. Although I really like this card. 9/
Saiba Aisu
Chizuru: Yep, yep! That was where I originally got the idea, but I did plenty of editing to the effects and stats. I think she's a little bit more playable this way, right? And as to the image, Zeiva is an incredible artist... It took me a while to render her, but I did it in the end. Thanks for the perfect rating!! Encapturer: Thanks very much! Yep, I'd like to think that she's pretty balanced, considering the number of ways you can get her out with Dandylion or Scapegoat. As to the Life Point gain effect, you're right - I decided to toss in an effect that rewarded you for playing this card and tied in well with the card's Spellcaster-Type nature. And the dual-sided effect comes from how the earth is in reality; a nurturing place for life, but also vicious in the form of destructive catastrophes like earthquakes or landslides. I'm glad you like the card, and thanks for the comment! Wrath: Thanks so much, Wrath! Yeah, I love the image as well - it turned out even better than I could have hoped for. And no, it's not an OCG card... But I'll take that as a compliment, haha! Well, it's not exactly an overpowered ability for a Level 8 monster. She's not exactly difficult to remove from the field in a variety of ways, and her effect prevents her from attacking during the same turn in the situation that she does use her effect. And ugh, I could kick myself for making the same mistake twice - I'll capitalize 'Tributing'. Thanks for the high rating! More, please!
ProSora
nice card, balanced, no errors, and a great pic, i would give a 10 but its just missing something o.o9/

Saiba Aisu
Okay, I will address everyone's comments one at a time in order. Sora: Thanks very much for the high rating; I'm glad you like it. And yeah, I can understand if that's how you feel: sometimes, even if it's difficult to explain, you get a feeling that something is missing in a card, even if you don't know what it is. Bomber: Haha, where have you been all my cardmaking career? Check out some of my old threads... There are plenty of female cards in there, haha. Thanks for the high rating, and go to the hospital! Your head exploding is pretty serious... o.o More comments, please!

Saiba Aisu
Thanks, Boo Clan. Yeah, it's not overpowered in any sense of the word, but it's definitely playable. This card can lead to some pretty sweet combinations when combined with cards like Scapegoat or Dandylion. And haha, no thank you, I think the image is fine the way it is; Alcander really did an excellent job with it. Hm... Unless you guys think she should be able to be Special Summoned by tributing monsters on either side of the field? More comments, please!
ragnarok1945
well the effect is balanced, but it's nothing original the LP gain probably won't be too critical anyway, but it's well done for destroying ANY monster on your opponent's side of the field 8.8/
Jolta
Yes it is....Just like My Mirage Empress Chiko~!!! Saiba Aisu
Okay, I will address everyone's comments in order. Ragnarok: Yeah, the Elemental Empresses are similar to the Monarchs in some ways, but they all share unique type support and the ability to recover Life Points, which is always useful. Thanks for the rating and comment! Jolta: Hey, thanks! I'm very glad you like the card and gave it such a high rating. Out of all the Elemental Empresses, Chiko is quite probably my favorite. I edited the effect so that she can now be Special Summoned by tributing the opponent's monsters, too, if they're Earth. What do you think? More comments, please! Alcander
it seems like the picture it's pefect! most people love it, again a perfect JAP Card, the effect it's pretty useful and well thought 'cause (the LP effect match well with the picture), the EARTH Attribute seems a bit blurry this time anyways good JAP CARD skills, there's no more to say. 10/
Saiba Aisu
Thanks, Alcander; I'm glad you like how the card ended up, considering how much of an extraordinary job you did when working with the image. Yeah, I am also pretty happy with how the effect turned out - it's quite useful in most situations, especially with the increased popularity of X-Saber Decks. Yeah, I noticed that as well... The Earth attribute is always the blurriest out of my arsenal. xD Thanks for taking the time to post and for the perfect rating. More comments, please! .area51player.
I don't know why, but it seems to me that the pic in your card is more HQ than the image in Alcander's Archive O__o.Anyway, the card itself is good, I love short effects. The Japanese Text is epic, I love it.The effect seems balanced, and etc.... all those things you know already ^^.Nothing really much to say, the word that comes to my mind when I see your cards is "EPIC" or "AWESOMAUCE". Jeovanny
now that is an earth card! jap txt is beast if only the card was like the way the ATK and DEF are put in the anime then we would have a mounstrously kool card on our hands. not too Oped allitle Uped but i love it. 9/10. if the card is put in anime format 11/
Saiba Aisu
Okay, I will address everyone's comments in order, one at a time. Corinth: Haha, I can't imagine why that would be... >_> Maybe it's because it's got the offset of the Japanese card to better showcase it? Anyways, I'm glad you like the card; her effect is a little on the short side, but it's quite useful in plenty of situations. Yes, I'm also fond of the Japanese text... And thanks, "EPIC" and "AWESOMEAUCE" are what I aim for! Jeovanny: Thanks very much! Yeah, I know how to make cards styled in the English anime fashion, but it always seemed weird to me that you couldn't read the effect if necessary... Actually, though, this card is Japanese anime-styled: its borders are custom, the holographic sticker in the bottom right corner is gone, and there's no set number. I'm glad you liked it so much, and thanks again for the high rating! More comments, please!
