And I saw a documentary on Discovery that stated "Before we started roasting our food, the human brain was 40% smaller.".

- We needed less calories for the stomach and the immunity system, so they could go into the brain

- We eluded more diseases

- We learned a teachable trait, and one that was actually TAUGHT

- Our jaw became smaller, so the diameter of our more rounded skulls increased

 

Although, yeah, the greatest increase in human brain was when we started growing animals for food and milk.

I heard that with the skull diameter before. I found it pretty cool.

Just a question. Imagine that Greek Myths were real. The primitive people that had just been created by Zeus and Prometheus were forbidden from having fire. What would it be like?

 

No glass.

No smithing or making of implements.

Only wood as a weapons.

No light sources.

I guess? lol. It sucked without any sort of electricity or fire during those 2yrs and I still have regular nightmares. It just doesn't seem impossible to live without it =/

And, if Greek myths were real, we'd still have fire. Prometheus fetched it from the gods palace on Olympus and brought it to humans, because his brother Epimetheus, creator of animals, gave all the abilities to them.

Lol no! YOU need fire, YOU need heat. The change would be that less people would exist in the upper and lower parts of the planet except the people who purposely want to be left alone. You dont need either of those things to make food (though it helps) or clothes. As far as I know most housing doesnt need fire either...

 

We'd evolve pretty fine without it. But in current society? Not a chance.
