Infinitus
It's the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Obviously. Srs: Anyway, what needs to happen is they need to go into the Bermuda triangle, with a robot, and see everything through the robot's eyes in a control room. Then, we could find out what's there, or at least get some kind of idea of what's there. I don't know what Cthulu is, but I believe it is a mythological beast with tentacles, that could reside in the sea.

Thesius
Compass Variation:Also pointed out is the great discrepancy between Magnetic North' date=' and the North Pole in the region (a fact noted by Columbus on his voyage). The Bermuda Triangle is one of only two places on earth that a magnetic compass does actually point towards true north. Normally it points toward magnetic north. The difference between the two is known as compass variation. The amount of variation changes by as much as 20 degrees as one circumnavigates the earth. If this compass variation or error is not compensated for, a navigator could find himself far off course and in deep trouble. An area called the Devil's Sea by Japanese and Filipino seamen, situated off the east coast of Japan, also displays the same magnetic characteristics. It is also known for its mysterious disappearances.[/quote'] IMO I think they just got lost.
Guest Random Dude
In all seriousness, Aliens. Do you really think we're alone in the universe. We're probably not, so aliens. EDIT: There's some kind of weird fog that acts up there constantly, It's been known to mess with the compass and radar of vehicles, leading to the disappearance of Cyclops, Flight 19 and countless others. ayy lmao
[/thread] Probably magnetic north poles and south poles aren't pointed towards as they point towards proper north so they got lost, eventually died out, then the ship or whatever would sink of a problem. Dark
Cthulhu? No disrespect to the master overload, but I doubt it. ^_______^ It's methane gas. It affects the navigation tools in a plane and causes problems with buoyancy (sp?) for boats.
