These are the first sprites I've ever done (all of them are from scratch). I'll start in order that I made them to the most recent. Please I really would love comments and suggestions and critic.

 

 

 

 

This is my first sprite I made from scratch completely. It is of my role play character, Raizou Jappio. He has electrical powers and is a strong warrior. I am planning on adding new poses, once I come up with a good one. I know I'm not great, this is pretty junky compared to a lot of other stuff. The shading needs to be fixed, but I'm more interested in making new sprites then fixing my old ones.

 

A little about him, he is a disciple of the god Thor. One day in battle my character died, but he went to Asgard. There Thor took him in as a student, and my guy learned to be able to take in and hold electricity. Thor had him go to earth to fight in his name. My character than becomes a gladiator and fights.

 

In the picture I have the front and back views, He only wears gauntlets, shoes, shield, belts and chain mail leggings in battle. All his stuff is themed after lightning, except his shield. He can charge all his weapons with electricity. His axe is shaped like a lightning bolt. It is his favorite weapon, and is very powerful. His gauntlets have little hooks in them good for stabbing into someone, and then getting them stuck there. The cross bow has little metal bolts that can be charged too. Raizou isn't great with range, but he does decent enough. He only has it for those who are to far to catch. The shield can change size and is a magical sponge. I've yet to fully daybue this character in a role play, I still need to make an official profile.

This is of my newest role play character, Vector Absolute. I first used him in a Pokemon RP, but I might introduce him into a normal RP one day. He is a DJ, and loves to rave. His outfit is bright orange and green, the green glows in the dark. I don't know what else to go into. I was suggested to try and do a more noticeable shading and shadowing, so thats what I did. I'm afraid that I did it too dark, but I'm still trying to learn. I think though I'm improving though.

This is a sprite of my friend's Pokemon role play sprite. He asked me to do this since he wanted one done from scratch (he had one he made from combining sprites). This is now my third sprite I've done, and I somewhat like it. I can't fully tell how well I did though, so I really could use some other comments. Not much more to say, if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.

It's been awhile. There was a long period where I was too lazy and too busy to be able to do a sprite, but in the last like three days I've whipped up a new one. Although it was so quickly done (sooner than the others) it maybe might be some of my best work. It is of a monkey. It actually based off of a friend of mine (sideburns, sandals, and the orange). I sort of rushed this I feel, but maybe I've just learned to go quicker. The purpose of this sprite was to practice sprites in general and to try an animal. I felt I did pretty good. I would still greatly appreciate suggestions and tips though. The cape was for the sake to practice making a cape, a probably common sprite drawing I'll have to do.

Can't wait to hear the comments, the good and the bad (I actually would prefer hearing the bad comments, as long as they have good reasoning that is).

This has been a project I've been working on. A few months back I was just messing around in paint, drawing a cloud or something. My friend than says I should put Thor onto the cloud or something. I then got a little too much into the whole drawing Thor. I than decided it would be my next sprite project (not including splicing and fakemon). I decided to do it as a job for this friend. While I was doing the pose, I told my friend I was going to put a rock or something under his foot, but he suggested I make it a zombie, hence the zombie. I am quite proud of how well I've done, I know it's not great or anything, but I think I've improved a good amount. Please do let me know how I did. I don't mind most comments, just please, if you are going to say "Work on the shading" at least tell me what to do better about it, I know I suck at shading.

Well didn't actually plan on making this. I was sort of just messing around and then this happened. I think it turned out really well. My only problem with it is the sword, a little misshaped and missing the 4 spikes on the sides, but it's too tiny for those. And of course I did his Brawl pose.

Another thing I did for a friend. In case you don't know, a ghillie suit is a this thing that snipers and stuff put on to blend into their surrounds, like forests and grass and stuff. I'm not too happy with the gun itself, but thats because I rushed it a bit since that wasn't really all the important to me. Also I'm quite happy with how long it took to make this. My friend requested me to do this since he likes sniping and is a COD4 fan.

The reason for the two different colors is that I couldn't decide and which shade, so I went with both radioactive comic book green and realistic camo green. Comments and critique highly welcomed.

Wow...pretty awesome dude. I prefer the lighter shade TBH.

Lol, the one on the left looks like a cucumber to me. :P

 

I love the one on the right, though.

Sorry, I only take requests from real life friends. Also I wouldn't do everyone in Brawl, I hate some of the Brawl characters. The ones I do like I don't want to risk making a bad sprite of them, so I'd rather wait to do sprites of them when I have better skill (unless of course its by request).

Splices? Nothing here is a splice, they are all sprites , all scratch sprites, not a combination of other sprites. Also I don't know if I really deserve a 15/10, there is plenty better than mine. The 11/10 is also much more than I deserve.

This is my friend's current main role play character (the one who requests stupid things like Blastoise+F-Zero machines, and splicing the 4 Elemental fiends from FF4. Also the one who made the Starmie+Electrode). His name is Shun-Yu, he is a Chinese hopping vampire, or a Jiang-Shi to some. A little about his character:

 

-His arms are suppose to look like that, they are longer than a normal persons due to rigor mortise. Basically he is suppose to be in the shape of a "hairless, scrawny, gorilla with good posture."

-Hair should be a lot lighter, but it didn't look good so I darkened it.

-Boots are kind of boring and all, but he doesn't even know what they really should look like himself.

 

Anymore questions, feel free to ask, also critique and comments happily welcomed.

Wow, guess you guys aren't fans of my friend's RP character, fine then onto the next thing. This guy is my Role Play character Raizou, I've done a sprite for him before, but those sucked.

Now to be fair I didn't just do this from scratch. I did make everything on this guy though. What I'm trying to say is I didn't edit someone else's sprite, but I edited my own. I some time ago made a Hulk sprite. Well what I did was take that, change the skin color, alter the pose, make him taller, down sized the muscles, gave him some more clothing and weapons. So a good loads of heavy edits to my own sprite, so I'm pretty sure you can still call it a scratch.
