All right, I am rewriting the intro because the last one was too long. This is my new archetype well my only cards so far...oh well!

You could skip to the cards if you don't want to read a long intro...
So why did i choose FIRE as my Attribute? Well, in the real world FIRE monsters are very scarce because of their only ability or main purpose to inflict damage which is useless when Blackwings and Synchros quickly swarm the field and annihilate Life Points in a matter of seconds. And so i decided that FIRE monsters deserved some love and that's where the Blazing Infernos come in...
The Blazing Infernos are very similar to other archetypes that you see, Blackwings, Ice Barriers, Venom, etc. They work by trying to swarm the field and maintain field control. They do this via removing Inferno Counters, the method of doing this is varied among the monsters

Some will:

-remove X number of Inferno Counters from itself

-remove X numbers of Inferno Counters from the field

-activate when a set number of Inferno Counters are on the field

others will have effects that require X numbers of Inferno Counters on itself to activate its ability or they have the ability of placing 1 Inferno Counter on itself or another card.

I tried to maintain balance between the cards, so it would feel like each card could hold its own on the field. I hope you like the cards!

for Hyroi's last effect' date=' it needs an alternative, as to what happens if your opponent can't discard

everything else for the effects look just fine, so I'll give the new updates a 9.3/10

[/quote']

will it work if they take 1000 damage? or 500 would sound better?

Yay! i got better!

There will be more soon, but school tomorrow so it might be awhile...

Hello' date=' everyone. I am new here but i have been watching over everything like a hawk i just havent signed up yet because of miscellaneous things. This is my 1st Archetype and cards, hopefully it wont be my last...

All right, i wasn't going to post the cards up yet until i had at least 50 but due to some technical issues (namely the picture of the card disappearing every 2-3 days) i have to post them up early. Because of this dont expect to see a lot of cards yet

[center']InspirationInspiration

Ok now to talk about the Blazing Infernos. The inspiration for the Blazing Infernos came from yes, you guessed right, the "Ice Barriers". The instant i saw them i fell in love with them (no not in that way :3)

The Blazing Infernos basically try to swarm the field and maintain field control whether by limiting attacking options or destroying monster, spells or traps. They do this by removing Inferno Counters on them or on the field to activate their effect. Most of the Blazing Infernos have very low ATK but strong effects. Hope you like them!

FIRE monsters shall rulez the world!

A few OCG errors here and there, but nothing major. The archetype is focused on getting teh counters, but the cards all have varying uses and the counters are basically the only connection.

Also, in an archetype, all the pics should look similar, it just makes more sense. 8/10

nor did I find anything wrong in the effect, shame they were low leveled and therefore didn't have too complex effects

yeah im trying to flesh out the weaker level monsters before making the high levels because i dont want to make them overpowered or anything. I will be making them but it will be awhile until one actually shows up, ive started on one but her effect is pretty overpowered

Trooper of the Blazing Inferno Lore: When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon 1 "Trooper of the Blazing Inferno" from your Deck to your side of the field. Then shuffle your Deck. If this card is used as a Tribute for a Tribute Summon of a "Blazing Inferno" monster, place 1 Inferno Counter on 1 face-up monster on the field.

Haguro, Trident of the Blazing Inferno Lore: This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:

*If this card destroys a monster with an Inferno Counter, remove the monster from play.

Nice Duel Masters Pictures man, stop using DM pictures.:x

I didnt even know they were DM pics. I dont like DM, i just typed in Anime Fire, or went to Jazin kay's photobucket to search monsters

FIRE monsters shall rulez the world!

A few OCG errors here and there' date=' but nothing major. The archetype is focused on getting teh counters, but the cards all have varying uses and the counters are basically the only connection.

Also, in an archetype, all the pics should look similar, it just makes more sense. 8/10

hahaha yes they will >:D

i was trying to come up with a unique way to have the Blazing Infernos stick out and making them have Inferno Counters was a cool and interesting option because you had to think wisely since many needed Inferno Counters.

The main purpose of the Blazing Infernos is to swarm and overwhelm your opponent. They also destroy spell and trap cards making them very powerful. Just think of them as a mixture of Blackwing, Ice Barrier, Six Samurai, and some other monsters.

Well when i looked for pictures i tried finding pictures that had an orange or red color in them standing for fire and if there was fire in a picture it was perfect. Its pretty hard to find pictures that are similar in drawing style. So thanks for your critique but the monsters you will see will be very similar to one another but not that similar

Your cards are amazing, this is the first thread ive posted on in like a month and i hope other threads haves some good cards too, fire monsters while not totally under made are only made by the newest members, and its almost always a demon archtype, so when i see others who have put much thought in to things i will always praise them for their hard work, but on the other hand u need more traps and spells, fire decks are made to deal damage outside of battle and part of that is from traps and spells(mostly traps) fires with no traps is like pancakes with no syrup. also one of the images is copyrighted to a game called duel masters

it is baby chick of the blazing inferno, over all you get an 8.5/10, it would be higher but i would like to see more non monsters:)

Well since you commented on my Archetype, I figured I'd come check yours out, and I gotta say I'm quite impressed! They all seem well rounded and working together is a strength (Something my Archetype lacks right now) and honestly I really like the Inferno Counter idea. Main problem as of right now as ray_yugi2 mentioned is the lack of spell and trap cards (I'm sure you're working on it). I can't wait to see this grow more! 9/10

Your cards are very well put together, with effects that mess well, but I feel your tuners are kinda hanging there. Try making a synchro that will enhance your monsters effects such as Magical Android does for physics.

Maybe one that is weak, high level, that creates inferno counters, and then another one to defend it.

Other then that, 10/10, way better than my cards haha.

thank you for your comment

yeah im still working on the spells and traps. im just trying to get the feel of the Blazing Infernos before i start, but dont worry there will be spells and traps. Spells and traps are just harder to make (effect wise) than monsters because they have to compensate for the lack of ATK and DEF
