Clair
I could swear the "That's super effective!" text comes on when you use FFang on a WonderTomb. Because doesn't the game realize the attack has to be SE or some random status or other attack for it to do damage? The "super effective" text doesn't come up. O_o It's just normal... Yankee
My only argument against Dark:If you say it should not bother you to lose to these cheaters, by that same feeling, say you actually beat that guy with the WounderTomb, would you have wanted to say "Ya, thats right jabroni."? Then type effectiveness does come into play. Not like you'd use WonderGuard on anything other than Spiritomb or Sableye. If you say it should not bother you to lose to these cheaters' date=' by that same feeling, say you actually beat that guy with the WounderTomb, would you have wanted to say "Ya, thats right b****."?[/i'] No, but I'd feel accomplished that I took somewhat of a challenge and made it work for me. I actually like it when I face hacks over WiFi. It makes me think critically as to what the hell I want to do. But usually hacks are bullshit. I have friends to battle/test me with hacks, I don't need losers on WiFi to do it.
Eury
I don't have Wi-Fi' date=' so I haven't experienced it. But I've watched a bit on Youtube and heard about it. People who just slap/hack in a team of ubers on Pokemon games irritate me, just by looking. I don't even get my Pokemon to 100, so why hack? Really? I've never heard of Lightning Bolt Spam on Mario Kart though. Oh, and call me an idiot but, Wondertomb?[/quote'] Nah, many people don't know about hacks. WonderTomb is basically a Spiritomb hacked in Pokesav (some AR editor program hack thingy) so that it has the ability Wonder Guard. That means super-effective hits only do damage. BUT, Spiritomb has typing Ghost/Dark, so nothing is super-effective against it. So you can only beat it through really odd ways, like Fire Fang, status, and whatnot. I heard about that. It really works? O_o My team was comprised of mainly sweepers at the time I battled against the WonderTomb. -_- Mhmm. When the programmers were doing Wonder Guard for Shedinja, I am assuming that they forgot to code Fire Fang for other Pokemon. So any Pokemon with Wonder Guard will ALWAYS get hit by Fire Fang. I'm just wondering if it's affected by type resistances. Like would a WonderGuard Heatran take .5x damage from a Fire Fang? If I had Fire Fang, I definitely wouldn't use it on Heatran. ;D I assume that it calculates Type difference, but I don't really know. 1x Damage against WonderTomb.2x effective Damage against Shedinja.so... .5x damage against Heatran? Heatran would take the full blow, not .5 He's part Steel, remember?
Death Metal
This is what I have to say to this thread.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLsJyfN0ICU
WonderTomb ruined Pokemon Wi-Fi for me.
This is the exact reason that I have a Pokemon with Will-O-Wisp or Toxic. It pretty much takes care of that problem. Even though I haven't run into it yet.
