Kaisu
Well.. Yeah. Twig made me make this, because theres a bunch of GX fanfics, all starting with the same thing. I BEG TO DIFFER! [spoiler=Plot]The Dark Signers have been defeated, and as Savior Star Dragon peirces the King of the Underworld, a new dawn begins. With this, a new year at Duel Academy begins... [spoiler=Prolouge]Liam swerved on his Duel Runner, a dragon-headed front and feather-like wings on the sides with a thick curling tail at the back. A black Duel Disk with red highlights and silver scales atop was placed on the 'neck' of the head, with a screen under the topmost scales, which arched over towards the driver. Liam's helmet was black, with silver strips and a small sharp red visor. Crap.. I'm gonna be late. He thought grimly as he twisted the wings and pushed them fowards, and the vehicle sped up, narrowly dogding vehicles. Several signs marked 'DUEL LANE' rose up from the sides of the highway, and a red holographic screen appeared. Liam dodged to the side as a computerized voice began to chant 'A Turbo Duel is about to take place. Please switch to another lane'. A red Duel Runner shot past him as he pressed on. "GET OUTTA THE WAY!" Liam shouted as he pushed the wings out to the side, and the feathers revolved to become more wing-like, with pedals engraved into the the wings, with a skeletal armrest left, and a panel came out and they attached to the armrest. Liam flicked the armrest up and jets inside the wings activated, burning a bright blue as Liam flew over the bridge onto a Turbo Duel lane, and he slid down the road, jets spinning. He made another jump as he landed on solid ground, skidding into a large carpark. He breathed heavily as he leapt off his bike and charged into a tall building. "I NEED A TEST!" He shouted as he stumbled, falling on his face, sliding across the polish floor. He looked up to find many students staring at him. A duel had stopped with a Luster Dragon about to direct attack for game. "The tests are over." A cold voice said and Liam found an imposing figure with black sunglasses oily black hair and in a crisp suit standing on a high platform on the opposite side of the arena. A Duel Runner stopped on an outer track, it's Speed Counters slowly reducing to zero. "So come back next year." He said, speaking through a small microphone. "Hey! No fair!" Liam shouted back angrily, charging foward and tripping over the tracks. He screamed as another Duel Runner with slim metal wheels began to speed up, about to run over his legs. The driver laughed as the Duel Runner easily jumped over him. He grunted as he stood back up. "How 'bout I duel you myself then, Mister Big-Shot!" He hollered, stepping into the middle of a duel, Luster Dragon's attack flying over his head. "Very well then." The man laughed, a card platform rising up to his level, and he placed a deck on. "Duel!" The two shouted as Liam pulled a deck out of his pouch, holding his left arm as his Duel Disk opened. Liam placed in deck in, only to find he had never taken his Duel Disk out in his hurry. He cursed under he breath as he stepped back. A duel platform rose in front of him as the holographic projecters started. Liam placed his deck on. "I'll start." The man said as he drew his cards. "I'll start by playing Polymerization to summon Ojama King! I'll end my turn with that." A giant egg-shaped figure with eyes on stalks and wearing red underwear took a firm place on his field. "Heh. I'll set one monster and end." Liam said as he threw a card into his monster zone. "This is your last turn! Draw!" The man shouted, pulling a card out dramaticaly. He smiled. "I play Pot of Greed and draw two cards. I then play Ojama Red to special summon Ojama Yellow, Black and Green! Next - Another Pot of Greed." He drew another two cards. "It's over. I'll start with Ojama Delta Hurricane!! then I'll finish this duel with Ojamuscle!" The four Ojama monsters turned into a small light, growing bigger as they concentrated on Ojama King, and soon he had giant muscluar arms. "Ojama King - Attack!" The giant monster changed position as it leapt up and punched Liam, knocking him backwards as his cards flew everywhere. "I.. I don't beleive it.." He whispered to himself, numb with shock. Twig
When you said you weren't doing the same thing, I thought you meant you weren't going to have the main character late for a duel test... Nice job anyways. Breaking cliches are always fun.
