I lied... one more deck to make [Cyber Dragon] reps within?

Recommended Posts

Hey all, I'm that guy who loves out of date cards! (Mostly fusions) So, after sickening myself by using synchros, I'd like to try to pay tribute to the awesomeness that is Zane and his epic dragon fusions (Kaiba fanboy?)

This deck I tried to make with NO netdecking, with only Zane as an influence, so its clear I need a little more help... thanks for putting up with me so long!

MAIN DECK (40)

=========

Monster (17)

-------

2 Cyber Dragon (Great monster overall; the theme of the deck)

3 Proto-Cyber Dragon (Stands in for the Semi'd Cyber Dragon during fusions, easy Shining Angel summon)

3 Cyber Dragon Zwei (Stands in for the Semi'd Cyber Dragon during fusions, can be catalyst for Overload Fusion)

3 The Light - Hex-Sealed Fusion (Alternate Polymerization)

2 Honest (87.5% of my monsters are LIGHT, Sangan searchable)

1 Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind (Bail-out on powerful adversaries, maybe some synching later?)

1 Sangan (Searches anything except Cyber Dragon)

2 Shining Angel (Special Summon any Cyber Dragon subs)

Spell (15)

-----

1 Future Fusion (Dumps monsters as a back-up plan)

1 Overload Fusion (Fuses monsters as a back-up plan)

2 Power Bond (Polymerization on steroids, VERY simple OTK)

1 Limiter Removal (In a pinch....)

1 Heavy Storm (Clears for OTK)

1 Mystical Space Typhoon (Clears for OTK)

1 Brain Control (Tribute fodder for Cyber Dragon, overall useful card)

1 Lightning Vortex (Cleans up any really tough monsters)

2 Hand Destruction (Draw Power)

2 Gold Sarcophagus (Searches anything, even itself O-o)

2 Evolution Burst (Spell/Trap/Monster killing)

Trap (8)

----

1 Mirror Force (Protection)

2 Bottomless Trap Hole (Protection)

1 Call Of The Haunted (Special Summons pretty much any Cyber Dragon; even Honest can be used)

2 Dark Bribe (Stops OTK reversals etc.)

1 Divine Wrath (Stops OTK reversals etc.)

1 Solemn Judgement (Not quite as good as Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode, but...)

EXTRA DECK (9)

=========

3 Cyber Twin Dragon

2 Cyber End Dragon

2 Chimeratech Fortress Dragon

2 Chimeratech Overdragon

EDIT: IRS does NOT work on Shining Angel it was removed

Light Hex's effect let's you tribute 1 or more Fusion material monsters plus itself (since it counts as a Fusion Subsitute like King of the Swamp) to Special Summon (not Fusion Summon) a Light fusion Monster.

For example, if you have Cyber Dragon and Light Hex on the field, use Light Hex's effect to tribute both it and CyDra and summon Cyber Twin. Proto-CyDra and Zwie also be used with Light Hex, since they can be treated as CyDra due to their effects. However, due to the effects of Cyber Twin and Cyber End, you cannot use Light Hex as Fusion Subsitutes if you activate Power Bond or Polymerization.

As far as fixes go:

Needs another Honest and get rid of Polymerization. You'll most likely summon Cyber Twin due to Light Hex's effect.

-2 Poly

-1 Fusion Recovery

-1 Spell of Pain

-2 Cyber Phoenix

-1 Inferno Reckless

+2 Hand Destruction

+1 Pot of Avarice

+1 Honest

+2 Shining Angel (or Cyber Valley, but Angel is recommended)

+1 Gold Sarcophagus

Spell of Pain was anti Magic Cylinder, since that basically reverses my 16,000 ATK deathblow, which would hence be re-reversed to game...

Inferno reckless lets me pull all Zweis and Cydras out...

Honest is @2 now? I thought it was like on banhammer's doorstep...

Don't I WANT all my Dragons grav... Oh wait Honest... Pot of Avarice is in

I'll give this deck a shot, 2 more things...

How rare are all of these cards?

What should I use G Sarc on?

Oh, I could just buy the cards... interestingly enough Honest isn't $40, I thought Sarc was limited...

With no Rainbow Life OR Spell of Pain Power Bond SCREWS me, and Gale is F-ing awesome even outside of synchro

I guess I can remove the poly though, and Evolution burst is good since I have CyDra @8, how many other decks can run 8 of one card??
