given how lv6's effect is almost the same as lv8 though, I had hoped lv8 would do something more

I'd give the last one another effect rather than just an attack boost. I do like how you can still Tribute Summon the level 6 version though.

 

Only suggestion: Give them all 200 DEF for flamveil support. Love this set though. Great work. 9/10.

Inflict damage to your opponent equal to the half the total ATK of all monsters destroyed by this effect.", but I wasn't sure if that was too overpowered, although it is the level 8 form.
